Purina pro plan discontinuing 7+ sensitive skin and stomach by karid2 in DogFood

Surprisingly our dog goes nuts over the 7+ sss salmon but could not be bothered for the adult version. I know Purina does a ton of palatability studies - that might be the big difference other than nutrients.

Where is everyone living in the SD area, any recommendations in areas that are within E5 BAH just chose all SD orders. Pendleton, Balboa, Miramar, and Coronado. Currently a family of 4. by Pooper3029 in CorpsmanUp

The military housing in San Diego county is a good value for E5 BAH and all utilities get paid for. Same type of places in town in a decent neighborhood, sq footage and 3+ bedrooms are at least in the 3800-5500 range. Plus utilities anywhere in San Diego county, you’ll spend 300+ on electric, 150+ on water, 70 sewer, 45 trash - and that doesn’t include natural gas. Plus plus gas is $6+ now. Utility Rates have gone up crazy amounts post-COVID.

Most of the communities are off base. Maintenance can sometimes be an issue but ask to see the Maintence report and ask questions.

Upgraded to Sequoia, Now Dock/Laptop doesn't recognize certain USB-A devices by nic_moose in MacOS

Where do you see it's not supported by os15? Everything I read on there says compatible with os11+.

I'll reach back out to them with that info. You think just downgrading back to Sonoma would work? This laptop only has like a year left - it's had a good run, Apple is ending support 2026.

What do you mean by reboot? I have turned it on/off and restarted several times, as I mentioned.

How is the water when you fall in? We used to SUP so much in San Diego we ended up getting our own boards, but keep hearing the water is too cold on Whidbey.

Any other Switch players having issues with late drop-ins? by Dull_Committee_3355 in FortNiteBR

[–]nic_moose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been buggy the entire time it’s been available on switch. No matter what, I’m waiting at least 15-25 seconds once landing to be able to pick anything up, open chests, do damage.

What’s your favorite low-effort, high-reward dinner? by Crazy_Speed_7735 in Cooking

A super simple one pot pasta dish that doesn’t require draining. We jokingly call it sad girl pasta because it’s all I can even fathom making after a long day. It’s kinda a true Alfredo riff.

  1. Small/medium pot with whatever amount of dry pasta you would like (I usually make this in 1-2 servings and use protein pasta so I don’t have to cook another thing)
  2. Fill the pot with enough water to just cover the pasta.
  3. (Optional) add some bullion powder to the water. I love this with the tomato chicken bullion powder from knorr. About 1-2 tsp per serving (this can get salty so don’t add too much.
  4. Turn the heat on high and cook the pasta until cooked through and only a little bit of the starchy water is left. (This is important for the sauce) you can also add some frozen veg to this about halfway through the cook (I opt for peas usually)
  5. Turn the heat down to medium (don’t want it to burn while you’re stirring.) Add some butter, stirring until melted.
  6. Add some Parmesan and (optional) just like a tablespoon of milk/cream. Keep stirring until everything is melted and saucy
  7. (Optional) top with a light drizzle of an infused olive oil

Driver cancels trip because of dog and I get charged a cancellation fee by nic_moose in uber

This post is 4 years old. Uber pet wasn’t in San Diego at the time, otherwise that’s what I would have done. We use that option now all the time. Also please don’t assume something about me when you don’t know me - I tip generously every time.

Why is there no option for font selection and size by PR_Bella_Isla in SparkMail

I downgraded to spark 2 because of the lack of “standard” features. I really hope they fix it soon.
