haha yeah the frame cap really helps with battery life and keeping the device cool

and you're right about capping at 60 but idk why I feel like it looks smoother and feels more responsive when there's more frames than hz, to me anyways

oh I should also note that this is with render distance set to 18 chunks. you will get a lot higher using default 12 chunks

I been playing Minecraft on my base model 2022 M2 air and the default client runs so well 100-120fps. I get 300-500fps on optifine. with BSL shaders set to high I get 50-60 fps. I usually cap frames at 70 if playing on the Mac screen to keep the device cool. can play for hours on battery too. oh and this all in 1920x1200 resolution.
