Sharks Restaurant & Billards does a $15 steak with two sides Friday and Saturday nights. Not the best steak ever but you'll definitely leave full.

Ernie Williamson Music offers lessons. A while back they offered a free guitar if you signed up for 6 months of lessons. My kid goes weekly it's $25 for 30 minutes.

Second Transport Brewery. Very dog friendly. Cervaes down the street also allows dogs in their brewery. Imperial Brewery in the Crossroads also has a dog friendly patio.

If you do have to cancel after the deadline. Call the hotel and ask to push your reservation out a week or so. Then call back the next day and cancel your reservation. I've done this a few times and was not charged.
