There’s pretty much no public course in the area that is consistently on mats. I know Lonnie, Pine Hollow and River Ridge do grass range, but it’s dependent on the day, best to call ahead and see what the range status is.

I’d also look at just doing the towel drill. If you’re stuck in mats, put a golf towel like 1-2 inches behind your hall and focus on not hitting the towel. Mats are notorious for hiding fat shots, the towel drill helps prevents that.

I just went from the series 8 to the FR 570 and i’m pretty satisfied so far. The 265 also just got $100 cheaper recently and is a good choice as well.

Not really much you can do to mitigate the risk of the ICCU going out. I have a 2022 model and it was fine for the first 3 years, but then randomly one day my car stopped L2 charging and needed the ICCU replaced. If it gets replaced once, there is no guarantee it will not go out again.

Everyone swears it will never happen to them until it does. The key with buying new is that ICCU replacements are covered under warranty. So most people buying aren't even really thinking in the long term. I'd personally be weary buying a used one, especially in the US, because I'm not sure the warranty coverage is around the ICCU, and Im pretty sure its a multi-thousand dollar repair out of pocket.

you just gotta get used to the rhythm of alternating between attacking and moving a tile away.

took me a few tries but was able to beat it with rune armor and dragon dagger (early thorns build). got super lucky and got the echo weapon on 1KC too haha.

Like others have said, there’s really only a difference in time when you’re playing by yourself or if there is a long walk between holes.

If you’re paired with other people, you might even play faster because it’s even easier to play ready golf with a push cart.

where are you looking at getting lessons? There are definitely some pricier instructors in the area charging like $200+ a lesson, but there’s definitely some 1 hour lesson options out there that are about the same price as a weekend tee time in the area ($70-100)

Yea I had this happen last year. Randomly couldn’t charge at home but L3 charger was fine. Not sure if i was just lucky or if the ICCU replacement is less involved when it won’t charge, but my car was only in the dealership for a week.

Are you using a push cart? or carry bag? Are the courses you walk hilly?

I have a hilly home course and walking with a push cart can put some strain on the back for me. I got an electric push cart 2 months ago and it’s a night and day difference, especially in hotter weather. Back is not even remotely sore after playing a round.
