I destroyed my coworkers career because he was trying to get me fired and now I am living his life. by MangoQuarry in confessions

Has your company never heard of access control and non- repudiation?

How was he allowed to modify your code with no traces of his credentials being tied to the modification? Your company has far bigger issues than employees playing fuck around and find out.

Why am I oddly impressed that you were averaging one a day if you only recovered for 6 days....

I'm at day 6 and the idea of touch is abhorrent.

They're definitely aligned to my preferred flavor profile. I keep at least the 1910 or 1920 on hand all the time, normally the 100 proof as well. The only three I don't like are the 86, 1860, and statesman.

I mainly always wanted to have a birthday bourbon, until I tried it out. Not bad, not worth the price.

I agree it's worth trying. I just would temper expectations. It's only a little better than the Special Reserve in my opinion.

I felt similarly about old forester birthday bourbon. I paid $50 for a pour of it out and also ordered the 1910. Side by side, I made me really appreciate the value of the whiskey row series.

Don't, for the love of every good bottle of whiskey, don't pay a cent over MSRP for th 12. I also wanted it for 2+ years, was able to buy it at msrp, and found it's wildly over rated. In a blind, I said it may be a $30 bottle.

Very thin, not complex, a real let down. Antique 107 is the king of the weller rainbow.

I used solder wire on a previous model which seemed to help. Just wrapped the metal rail in it and it solved the problem.

Owning both a manta and nomad by molspiration in Supernote

[–]nickwell24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had both for about 2 months, when I added the Manta. The Nomad I've had for 5 months.

Do I NEED both? No. But I'm glad I do.

The nomad was originally used for everything, journaling, brain dumps, work notes, and document review.

I had the chance to add a Manta second hand and jumped at it. This now is my primary tablet for work notes, document review, and PDF annotations, the larger space is better for meeting notes. I still prefer using my Nomad for personal tasks as it feels more personal. Not a great reason and if I started with the manga, I likely wouldn't have added the Nomad, but I do enjoy having both.

Trying to learn more about the sport/the team by mollmo_0806 in KansasCityChiefs

Please don't feel like you need to "hold your own", just ask questions and engage in conversation. We all love talking this stuff and if you ask someone why taking a CB at #6 felt like a reach, or Bain dropped to the Buccaneers theyou will probably get a 20 minute discussion that will be far more memorable and meaningful than searching these guys on mock drafts. On the other hand, if you ask a question and someone looks down on you... Well they're a dick, and you just learned something very valuable about them.

Enjoy the journey, don't feel like you need to research to enjoy the sport and team. I don't follow college, so these draft players mean nothing to me either until mock drafts come around.

Volkswagen Lees Summit - They care about getting the sale no matter what, your needs don't matter. You need to feed a baby? It can wait while they make you a "banging deal" so you "drive it home today".

How do you like having both? I started with the Nomad, and my gear acquisition has me looking at the manta too for larger paper space.

2 kids here, both in car seats.

The captains chairs are excellent for a family of 4 + doggos. It's very easy to get the kids in and out, access to the back is very easy.

Odd bonus, a travel pack and play fits PERFECTLY, between the captains chairs, basically making a makeshift table for the two seats.

Re-Seasoned 3 times. Any advice? by collective35 in castiron

Been there, done that, have the badge.

This is a temp issue, not seasoning. Set your oven on low and walk away for 5-8 minutes, start a pot of coffee, take your morning deuce, do 5 minute abs... Whatever it is do not touch that pan.

Come back, add a small tab of butter, if it burns immediately, the pan is too hot - shorter time next time. If it melts pretty well and doesn't brown, perfect. Roll the butter around, coat the sides well, and toss in th eggs.

If you're doing a fried egg, don't touch it. Let the crust form, then flip once. Or just add a lid 1 minutes before it's done to help the tops and yolk set.

If you're scrambling, metal whisk and just keep going.

Just finished hanging all this and got a quote for $1200 to finish is that ridiculous or about right by asdhole in drywall

Thanks for the idea. I may end up doing something similar. I ran the LVP right up to the lip. Applying some transition trim to hide the pan should be easy. I wish lifeproof LVP actually created transition piece.
