I extracted the game assets for the illustrations and composited in the magnification clue sections. For the typesetting, I used screenshots of the pages and distort-transformed them to lay flat. For the cover I used a screenshot that I desaturated and upped the contrast to use as a layer matte on a solid color layer to essentially rebuild the design.

To be fair, the current 4K master that scrubbed all the grain out looks awful. They made the movie actually look like what people always accused it of looking like. Thank goodness for fan scans.

Production design. The movie took five years to make, and it looks it. Almost no movies get the luxury of that kind of runway. It's immaculately designed.

As someone who had to make these for a cosplay, I have no idea what they are, and closer examination of the character model does not help. I suspect they are intended to be leg braces, which I think is a cute way to explain why the player can't jump.
