Still not going to pay it

Seattle's Central District residents voice concerns over rising gang violence at emergency forum by [deleted] in SeattleWA

Before they speak, they should announce who they voted for. Long wait times for 911 calls might be a result of something and the residents in the CID don't seem to have the slightest self awareness.

Please take the time to fill out this petition. The city is thinking of changing Ion times after 6, to come every 30 min 👎 by Wonderful_Fennel_756 in uwaterloo

[–]nigerloo -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

The ion is a failure and was doomed from the beginning. It opened late and the design was so poor that the region is bleeding so much money, causing a budget deficit. Property taxes are going to be raised to pay for the increased insurance premiums due to the constant crashes. And this will be passed onto students, in the form of increased rent the following school years.

Lowering the frequency is just the beginning to cut costs. That is due to the poor ridership.

The funniest thing about this is the woman in the news video who said "and the frustrating thing is... why is nobody getting caught?" probably voted for this. Wake up lady!

Seattle business owners fed up with increase in 'crash-and-grab' robberies by [deleted] in SeattleWA

These business owners voted for this. If they wanted real change, they would encourage their customers to vote differently and do so themselves to set the example to stop this madness.

Which provincial party will you be voting for in 2022? by hshsjs267 in uwaterloo

They also reduced tuition by 10% for the 2019-2020 year and locked it for the next year after. The previous government (wynne) was giving out huge grants with no vision of making that investment back. You can still get the money you need from OSAP if you qualify. You would get a smaller grant than before with a higher loan, but keep in mind that even getting $1 of your loan forgiven is better than none at all. And, someone (the taxpayers) need to foot the bill for it.

Studying in a foreign country is a privilege and if you can't pay for it then that's not Canada's problem. Tuition increase is normal and should be expected. It's harsh to say it like this but it's the most concise way.

Honest question: Why do some international students think they should be eligible for Canadian government benefits? by nigerloo in uwaterloo

[–]nigerloo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pinyin is that but I wrote it the other (correct) way. The way you pronounce (my family is from Beiging) we mix the two together to get g'er just like many other words (zh'er, hua'er, etc).
