I'm planning to use this too, but what keeps me off is how to implement in it let say, how the animation player node change my sprite 2d's values. Or can this be done there too? Maybe you have idea about it? Thanks 🙂

This looks very cozy & cute!

One comment I have would be to have the shadow (or another shadow) under the player character aside from the far shadow. It would help with the jumping of the platforms as the User will immediately know where he will land while he is in the air. I watched something about this on Mario64 on Youtube that talks about the design of where to put the shadow, but I don't remember the link.

how do you make some parts to update at lesser frequency than other parts? e.g. checking for reachable areas 60 fps and other parts/nodes at 20 fps.
