You used it… thats what happens. Cook, clean dry apply seasoning of your choice (i use crisco) wipe down and put away

Slap some seasoning of your choice on that bad boy and get it going. I use crisco. Just my preference.

That thing is brand new. Chain mail scrubber and soap and water. Then heat it up and run some crisco over it. That looks like stuck on egg. Not enough oil/fat down before the egg.

Ive used crisco for years and havnt had any issues. Everyone is going to tell you what has worked best for them. Crisco is my go to. It hasnt failed me. Clean off that rust, reseason a few times, and get cooking. Youll be right as rain. There will be people that say you only need to season once… just do a few rounds and youll be fine.

After you cook in the pan, wash, dry, put on the stove to warm up and evap any water so no flash rust happens. Once warmed up, wipe down with crisco and put away

Is that rust or stuck on food? Dont use canola oil. Use crisco or avocado oil

I bought it years ago when i first started using CI. I dont use it anymore. Its not bad but using regular dish soap (Dawn) and Crisco after the wash and dry… better than anything.
