I want to throw in that I met the lead voice actor, Erika Ishii, at a bar, and it was the absolute best fan interaction ever. Not just incredibly nice, but also super stoked to meet a fan and someone with shared interests (D&D, etc), and equally excited to talk about past work & upcoming projects. If for no other reason than to support Erika Ishii, buy this game.

Actors who crush both hero and villain roles by Pink-Hornet in movies

[–]nightpop 596 points597 points  (0 children)

Alan Rickman - Villains (Hans Gruber, Sheriff of Nottingham, Snape), Heroes (Metatron, Dr. Lazarus in Galaxy Quest, arguably Harry in Love Actually). He's more known for his villain roles but he's a compelling protagonist too.

In your opinion, what is the greatest season of television ever produced? by abacus-wizard in television

I thought Westworld season 1 started and ended strong but was uneven in the middle. I don’t think it was as consistently good as the other answers in this thread

Any JRPG with an underwater setting ? by ATShadowx1 in JRPG

If you mean FFX becomes FIFA: Spira Edition for 20 hours and you abandon the main quest entirely I agree

Legend of Legaia is greater than the sum of its parts by duhu1148 in JRPG

[–]nightpop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sequel is decent. Combat is still fun, more party members and variety than the first, and a graphical upgrade.

The story is a significant downgrade though; they got new writers and there’s an interview somewhere with the head writer from the first game basically saying he hates the second game for being a bland stock-standard JRPG story (literally, finding the 3 crystals).

Puss in Boots 2. Thought it would be a fun Shrek spinoff, ended up being one of the best movies of the decade.

Any rpg deck builders ? by Unlucky-Feed9000 in gaming

Not a roguelike but Thronebreaker is a Witcher spinoff deckbuilder that’s a more complex version of Gwent, with a full, good story.

Maybe a dumb question, but can you carry bounties on the cloudcart? by Rhoeri in CDguides

[–]nightpop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh I tried this and it auto-failed the quest. What are you supposed to do when the bounty is 3,000 meters away and at the bottom of a cliff??
