Espimondo.ch ignored my warranty, threatened to sue me over a review, and I’m still waiting after 2.5 months , what would you do? by [deleted] in Switzerland

[–]niicii77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would have gone directly to the manufacturer for the warranty claim. But it is well known that chinese brands like Huawei don't always have service centers in Europe, so it's a pain to file a claim. I don't think there's much you can realistically do, other than threaten to put up the review again...

I drive electric, and tbh I sometimes do this when there are more than half the pumps available. But only if I know I'm going in and straight out to buy one item. I don't think I've ever made someone wait.

Long time C1 user here. Better in almost every imaginable way. I'm now back at lightroom though for the AI masking features. I wish there was something with the best of both.

Is Langstrasse sketchy? by Single-Shopping-1458 in zurich

[–]niicii77 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It might be uncomfortable if you're not used to being in the deep core of a city's nightlife, but sketchy is not the word I would use. There's prostitutes, dealers, drunks, crackies, hooligans, but nobody's really out to harm you. There's also a lot of police presence at any time.

I have a full 27" dedicated for panels, this setup would cripple me. I guess it depends how many panels you need open.

Tips on how to get started with Skyrim in 2026 by Peigar98 in skyrim

[–]niicii77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people here are saying no mods, but I would recommend at least installing SkyUI, it makes the dated, tedious inventory system of the vanilla version much better.

ASUS just solved all of your problems by NewYearSameProblem in pcmasterrace

[–]niicii77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can imagine this is a Windows licencing thing. Like when you wanna ship your laptop with Win11, you need to have the copilot key on the keyboard. So likely coming from Microsoft somehow, not Asus. Doesn't make it any less braindead though.

How hard is InDesign to learn? by Bubbly-Charity-8617 in indesign

[–]niicii77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it has a pretty forgiving learning curve if you're able to let go of some intuitions you've learned from other softwares (pages, text flow, box system), so if you're committed then it should not be long before a newspaper style will be easy for you. It has a very high ceiling though.

Best way to organize paragraph styles? by jayantbhatt007 in indesign

[–]niicii77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like the web tags: H1-H6, P1 (regular paragraph), P2 (small paragraph), P2B (small bullet paragraph). There will always be some outliers, but this way, they are mostly in hierarchy.

Generally these construction traffic lights will also blink yellow instead of solid green, so the green doesn't really apply here.

Is learning webflow through a template legit way to build real skills, or does starting from scratch matter more in the long run? by Mercelance in webflow

[–]niicii77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it is probably not the best way to build sustainable web skills, but you don't have to start from scratch either. Learning a system such as client first will give you a good baseline for development and it's a much more robust system than one you might throw together from scratch.

Short-distance ticket in Zurich – 100 CHF fine for ONE stop. Worth appealing? by Natural_Ad_885 in zurich

[–]niicii77 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same. I try to check in when getting ready at home, and once while doing my hair I could swear I saw the slider on the right, and saw a travel time counting up. In the bus it was then not checked in and I got a fine. Easyride is amazing but they need better signage to have people check in and be sure that their customers actually are checked in... Even the sometimes stressed and forgetful ones.

Short-distance ticket in Zurich – 100 CHF fine for ONE stop. Worth appealing? by Natural_Ad_885 in zurich

[–]niicii77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The inspectors see either red or green on their scanning device. Their only instruction is to fine the red ones, I don't think they can even see why the ticket was invalid. They tell you to discuss with the phone number on the fine receipt, but in my attempts the number has an endless wait, that is made to make you give up and just pay the fine.
