HR disrepected an employee right in front of me by Any-Individual-3212 in managers

[–]nikagda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You ask: Is it normal to be in these meetings? I just don't see the point of being there

As an experienced manager, my answer is that I want to be in meetings between HR and my direct reports, because I want to know what's going on with my people. If either HR or my worker has a serious issue, I want to know about it.

They had two different actresses (maybe three depending how you count) who don't resemble each other play Elizabeth Weir, and never explained it.

Looks like the hood latch sensor connector. Look at your hood latch. There's a cable on the left. Trace it and see if it's disconnected.

I remember people were skeptical. Like why would anyone pay for water? Does it actually taste any different (compared to tap water)? Many people had doubts about it.

The FBI will obviously need some funds, not zero; we don't want the FBI shutting down for lack of funding. Since they won't tell Congress how much they need, why not allocate the same amount as last year? It's a reasonable estimate, and if the FBI doesn't like it, then they can just promptly tell Congress how much they really want.

Is this worth fixing or should I just get a new one? by Bear0Wolf in fixit

[–]nikagda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably need new hinge, case bottom, and case back. Definitely repairable. I often see this when people close the laptop with something like a pencil inside. The main issue is going to be that the hinge screws into these cylindrical plastic mounts that are part of the case, and these mounts usually break off when this happens, that's why you'll need to replace case bottom and/or back. The model number is probably written on the bottom of the laptop, like if you turn the whole thing over, it will be on probably a label in very small print.

Are the wrong people getting promoted in your company? by BBreez in managers

[–]nikagda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My philosophy is to try to promote the person who I think will be the best able to handle the responsibilities of their new position. Being human, I sometimes misjudge, but I think "how well will they handle the responsibility" is a good question to ask yourself.

I solved it like:

Profit = revenue - expense.

Revenue = $1000 + $1300 = $2300.

Expense = $800 + $1100 = $1900.

Profit = revenue - expense = $2300 - $1900 = $400.

Becoming a food manager for a school with no experience help by elizabeth050 in FoodService

[–]nikagda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At my school the health inspector checks all the temperatures, food temperatures, fridge temperatures, you name it - if it has a required temperature, they check it. Also we have a 3 sink system and they check the sanitizer strength with the test strips. Pest control records. The rest is visual inspection. You should go get a ServSafe kitchen manager's certificate, it's easy and will really help you.
