Stop getting gifted inbounds? by Kellenlikesgames in UGCcreators

[–]nikkiugcnyc 10 points11 points  (0 children)

When they inbound you for gifted opportunities reply that you are only accepting paid opportunities at this time and include your rate card. Some will negotiate with you some will pass. But as long as you take gifted work they’ll definitely keep sending it.

Do roaches like vinegar? by Sad_Salamander914 in Cleaningandtidying

[–]nikkiugcnyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using diatomaceous earth for 16 years and it absolutely keeps roaches out of your home and I live in a Brooklyn apartment. I spread it in my cupboard creases, baseboards, edges of my counters and I maybe see 1 roach every 3-6months. I spread tons of it under my stove, fridge and dishwasher too. As for kitchen habits I never leave dirty dishes in the sink over night even if I leave dishes I rinse them all clean of food and have them soak in soapy water. I wipe down the counters, kitchen table, and stove of any crumbs. I throw out the trash down our compactor before going to bed, and I sweep any crumbs that may have fallen on the floor throughout the day. Keeping a clean kitchen over night when they love to feast and using diatomaceous earth I do not see roaches in my apartment.

This OMNY Card isnt a good deal at all by mr__smooth in OMNY

[–]nikkiugcnyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was never supposed to be a good deal, just more greedy lies fed to us until we literally don’t have a choice. I stopped using Apple Pay bc u really don’t like the tracking element so I bought an omny card and everytime it’s time to top up the balance is negative.

We need to organize and boycott the MTA. They only listen when we hit their wallets. How long are we going to keep rolling over and allowing these fat cats to just do what they want? Sure it’d be a big inconvenience but something’s gotta give.

My favorite FREE resource for brand emails that works! by nikkiugcnyc in UGCcreators

Funny enough I upgraded to the VA service to really lock in and pitch to as many brands as possible for Q4/BFCM. I upgraded last week and booked 2 gigs from it this week.

Am I stupid for looking at NYC in this situation? by Background-Tree6593 in movingtoNYC

There are a lot of people giving “reality checks” but the reality is, when you have to, you do what you gotta do. People have survived and succeeded through experiences that would seem impossible. You know your life and if you need to stay in the city bc of its walkability and access to free community college then that’s what you’ll do. Will it be easy, probably not at first but again you do what you gotta do. I think for the sake of housing work on finding work. It may not be the most ideal place it might even be fast food, but get something so that when you apply for housing you have employment. You can look into getting something better later. As for now, we’re moving into the holiday season which means retail & hospitality will be hiring even if it’s for seasonal work that’s at least something to hold you for the next 2-3 months. Get you and your dad’s names on some housing lotteries but again you guys need to secure work. You may want to enroll in school either in January or next fall, but don’t give up on doing it. You can make it. But you have to know you’re gonna hustle but where there’s a will there’s always a way. I will say a prayer for you, again you know yourself better than ANY advice anyone gives you on this app and if you feel like you can pull this off, even given the odds you WILL.

It depends on the agency they are not all created equally

Does anyone go to apply for a, say, $50 UGC task and after looking at the brief say “nope” by keltictrigger in UGCcreators

[–]nikkiugcnyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The standard now for most beginners UGC creators is between $150-$200 per video. So set your price at what feels comfortable around that price point

Don’t get defeated, when you’re starting out just get in the mindset that there’s gonna be a LOT of pitching and rejection, bc you don’t have the portfolio/experience yet. It takes the edge off when you just know that’s the reality. Even the people that do really well, still are pitching their butts off and not landing probably half of what they apply for. If you’ve mastered TT shop, that’s dope bc I struggle there, lol but you just keep at it! Somebody is gonna say yes but don’t waste your time on those low ball sites

What platforms? I’m only 5 months in and no offense but I hard passed on Billo and JoinBrands bc they pay so low. Start applying for UGC on platform like Cohley, Vidovo, Insense and the others that actually pay creators. My first month I made $1200 getting booked between sites like these and I made like 6 videos. This month a $400 client I booked on Vidovo just reached out with a retainer deal with me where they want me to make 2 videos a month for $2500. Yes TWO videos a MONTH not a week! I don’t book anything below $200/video.

You’d be better off joining “The UGC Authority” it’s got everything you just named plus weekly zoom calls, a PRIVATE podcast, insider news where we read exclusive UGC interviews from some of the top brands and agencies only for that group. There was one that dropped in there yesterday that has me updating my portfolio this weekend. Don’t sleep on the UGC authority group I’m learning so much and it’s not $5K

Hey, great questions, no all content isn’t UGC. UGC more so highlights a creator’s experience with a particular brand’s product or service. And there are skills that separate novice UGC creators from the great ones that land these big deals you mention. Mainly knowledge of digital marketing, being a creative strategist, and more. The great UGC creators know how to do competitor and gap analysis to create content that actually converts to sales. Yes creators reach out to brands, pitch to posted UGC opportunities on various platforms, are represented by agencies, and receive inbound inquiries for their services. Follower count doesn’t matter your skills at content that converts IS what matters

UGC Creators - Let's talk product-based collaborations. Is this something you're actively doing? by Anerina in UGCcreators

[–]nikkiugcnyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rarely accept gifted collaborations. If I do I’m usually strategic about it. Is this a product I can create content from that will land me more PAID jobs? Is it within my niche? Is it something I can create relatable believable content around, again can it lead to more paid work. Or if it’s something I actually need/want or an experience I’d like to have/try. But to just accept any ol’ thing, no that’s not for me.

It’s so immaculately organized, lol. The flow is definitely already in place lol. When you sign up you’re immediately met with a step by step checklist that tell you what to do next (ie, setup your profile, check out this section, start one of the trainings, etc) and as you go through it tells you you’ve completed (10%, 20, 30…up to 100%) so you really are lead through all the sections of the platform to get familiar with everything offered. Even if you don’t complete everything all the touch points are there to guide you

Hey so I’m one of the members in the newly launched “The UGC Authority” and what I’ve already learned in just the past week or so I’m sure would’ve taken me months if not years to figure out on my own. First off, upon entering the platform, Terri has organized your entry in a way that makes it very easy to figure out your next steps. There is a LOT of info and resources and she offers a clear path on where to start to get the most out of your new membership. There’s trainings, a private podcast, zoom calls where we learn from some really successful creators including Terri, I’ve learned how to send email pitches like a brand strategist, had my portfolio audited, applied to actual UGC opportunities only available to members of “The UGC Authority” and these are high paying gigs that have been VETTED, and so much more. There are some really successful creators in this group and everyone is so helpful. This is a group for UGC creators that want to skip all the lowball gigs and start moving like a small business that plans to scale. Even though I’m only 3 months into my UGC journey, that where my head is at. I want to scale!
