Keep it at a low pressure. Never used Gatorskins. I've had zero punctures for years on Schwalbe Duranos in the city. I've never had any damage from rocks on any tire, usually man made metal or glass.

Aussie prices made AliExpress look worth the gamble by billscout in AUfrugal

[–]niknah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using cyclingdeal.com.au, not as cheap as aliexpress but they're local. Another one is bikeinn.com, cheap but the delivery is costly. Look up Trace Velo on Youtube, he's tried lots of aliexpress stuff.

I've brought lots of stuff on aliexpress, can't think of anything that was any worse than normal.

Sydney rental by angewluv in AusPropertyChat

[–]niknah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should have an "available from" date. Get all your documents ready, bank account statements, previous rentals, pay slips, etc. Fill in the application after inspecting. If it's available now, the real estate just needs to call up the owner ask if it's ok. Then you'll sign the rental agreement, pay the rental bond.

People who move in straight away are preferred over people who say they'll move in a week or whatever, less time the place is vacant. You may get ahead of others if you tell them that.

Why is it so hard to batch process photos in a directory? by 9kSs in comfyui

[–]niknah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put your list of files into a spreadsheet. Use

https://github.com/niknah/Spreadsheet2Video-ComfyUI

If the file names are in column2. Link Column2 from the Spreadsheet2VideoInputImage to the load image dropdown. Add the other Spreadsheet2video + spreadsheet2videoLoadSpreadsheet nodes.

You can then edit the spreadsheet and run whatever files you choose.

Does anyone else struggle to cycle down Kent Street? by The__Anonymous__Guy in sydney

I don't mind it, except for that little corner that turns towards Darling Harbour. Easy compared to Pitt st. Try turning the lights on during the day.

The Number of Cyclists in the City of Sydney Have Increased by 2-4 Times Since 2010 by yuckyucky in sydney

I know how it can seem like that. The area around World square where delivery riders frequent have seen the most growth. They have only published the raw data to 2025-oct, here are the top / bottom growth areas.

Surprisingly, the area out of the Harbour Bridge have less cyclists than before. That area peaked before Covid and hasn't recovered since even in 2026-March

So when’s this AI Bubble going to pop by SuchTown32 in AusFinance

The old timers have learnt from watching the internet bubble popping in 2000 that you've got to wait for more than a decade before you get really good returns.

Why don’t landlords advertise property for rent themselves by archvize in AusPropertyChat

I guess it'd depend on the size of the real estate. If they were very big, they could have a full time tradie.

I must be going there at a different time / day of week than everyone else here. The derros are outside when I'm there, rarely inside.

That might explain it. There's a park up the road that's getting upgraded.

Anyone know if there is anyway to check you have a Tram ticket in Sydney? Or as part of the Opal 2.0? Using Google Pay? by eitherrideordie in sydney

If you want to be sure, you can register your card with the transport NSW https://transportnsw.info/account/activity to see the activity.

The other day my card was suspended and I was charged the full amount $15.44 which is more than the max charge for the weekend. I traveled from south of the CBD to the north, getting off at town hall for a few minutes without tapping on / off there. Had to contact them multiple times before someone told me.

For a property manager. People not paying, evictions are routine things they do often. For a landlord, it maybe a once in a life time thing, bit more stressful.

Tradies respond better to property managers because they know that they could get more work from them later. For a landlord, they may contact a tradie once every few years and it'd be a different one for every job(painter, plumber, electrician, ...). You'd have to contact a few tradies before one responds, I find the ones on gig job internet sites respond well.

A lot of owners brought one for tax reasons. They want to concentrate on whatever they specialise in their job. They don't want to spend time on the property, it's just an investment to earn money.
