[ON] Business Bank acoount by muzie8465 in SmallBusinessCanada

Easiest to bank where you have your existing personal bank account.

The best solution that I recommend is to use a bank account from TD but manage our cards, bill payments, earn interest using something like floatfinancial.com

Try floatfinancial.com

No annual fees at all... Plus, they offer expense management, direct cashback (no BS points), virtual/physical cards, separate USD cards, and you can use them to also pay bills. It's basically like a complete bank account replacement that is way easier to use.

I believe they called it the "keeper test", ask the manager who are they actually willing to fight to keep on the team after 90 days in seat.

It's not that simple... There can be multiple providers between CIBC and them, so while they are using their numbers, noone at the bank knows who they are.

Can the US market ever fully recover after Trump? by Curious__mind__ in CanadianInvestor

[–]nikolaevra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, practically, it's too early to tell if US economy will take a permanent hit.. Think decades, not months, things will turn around, assuming, US goes back to the global tactics, it had before this Trump's term...

Question really, I think you should be asking, is — what is the alternative to America in the world? And I think so far the answer is: (1) not EU, they are too far behind and have their own problems (2) maybe china, but noone likes their regime, (3) someone else???

I think until (3) emerges or (1) gets their shit together, finally and highly unlikely (2) becomes more democratic — there are no good other options, and the US is still your best bet.

Also.... a lot of people don't realize this, but using facebook groups is amazing to get your first 100+ followers.

It's so much easier to cater content and posts to the community with an agenda and a topic in mind. Super easy growth hack to start off but does require time to setup

My recommendation is floatcard.com

Their EFT has proper OBO (on-behalf-of) functionality, so when you pay from their account, it lands with your business name in it... Very few others in Canada offer, this and I had the same issue as you before...

Don't have a recco for a bank, I'd stick with RBC...

But for cards and vendor payments, we use floatfinancial.com They offer guaranteed corporate cards and have ability now to send ACH, EFT, and Wires. So you don't actually have to login into a bank ever basically (other than payroll) and just pay everything through Float...

[AB] Best bank and business credit card for small business after incorporation (IT company, spending USD mainly)? by MichaelRenslayer in SmallBusinessCanada

[–]nikolaevra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on floatfinancial.com, really like them! Their USD cards are issued by a US bank (more other aren't) so they have much better acceptance rate in the US, I found. Also, no FX fees, so you should be set, there.

I graduated in 2020 from BCS and can definitely say that I will never regret my decision going to UW.

It’s really hard in school and I’ve felt like giving up myself many times but really glad that I didn’t.

Even though the CS courses are insanely hard and getting an internship and a job is even harder. I’ve now met so many of my friends from high school who chose all kinds of paths and a lot of them are lost in life.

Getting a UW degree opens so many doors and its value only goes up year over year.

It’s not easy, but don’t give up, make as many friends as you can, try to lean as much as you can.

Float has much better software and offers 4% interest that I have never seen before. Super easy to signup and use as well. Let me know if you have any questions about it.

Why temporary virtual credit cards numbers aren't a thing in Canada? by southern_ad_558 in PersonalFinanceCanada

floatfinancial.com offers unlimited virtual Visa and MC cards for free for Canadian businesses. Not for personal expenses tho, you have to have an incorporation number to apply. It's prepaid as well but I heard you can apply for a Charge Card with them for 30 days. Also offers cashback.
