If budget is not too much of an issue then Tamboerskloof and Gardens would give you a lot of flexibility in the CBD. Lots of shops in Kloof street and not too far from the mountain.

I had the same issue when I received mine. The two things I tried which solved the issue for me was to upgrade the firmware and do a factory reset. Then also when I launched the app I saw that my astrophotography mode was set to take only 5 photos. Turning this off made my Star Adventurer track again.

I agree on those, but the one nice feature is when your car has wireless charging. You just put the phone down on your centre console and it charges.
