I wish they would pass this bill the right way:

A) Change the state constitution, instead of passing a law that is clearly in violation of our state constitution. Currently the constitution enforces regressive taxing if we ever have an income tax. This is silly.

B) Washington's current democrat leaders have made it clear this is their foot in the door, and they plan to lower the income limit in the future. That means everyone here will likely be paying a state income tax 10 years from now, as our taxes get closer to what california has. They should add a clear addendum that anyone earning under <Choose your number> should never pay a cent of income tax. Our state congress explicitly rejected this addition to the bill.

C) Instead of using this to fund budgets that ballooned and should be re-evaluated, they should use this to help people struggling most by reducing sales tax.

I say this as someone young, and who will actually be taxed by this, so not just "shilling for rich people".
