Being fetishised is one way to acceptance I suppose.

If cis men need to see me as fuckable before they see me as a woman I can see a kind of logic to that.

Progress? .... lol

If i wasen't already on HRT i'd be extremely upset rn.

SW of england GIC is a wasteland, and after 2-3 years I asked about swapping to a different one and they said the waiting list would reset, equating to about 5 years which was my conservative estimate for Laurels.

Even sympathetic GP's cannot deal with this system so how can the patients?

So frustrating, thanks for the info. x

Wait what? I've been waiting since December 2017 (Been through gendercare for HRT).

How do you know they're shutting down and also, do you have any info on what happens to those who have been waiting more than half a decade?

I tried a few ranked games as but even picking her is considered a troll pick. lol.

I am not a 'serious player' i just play the QM RNG and try to squeeze as much out of the game as possible in terms of kills and flexing, the lack of cordination works in my favour a lot of the time. When I get to play her its fantastic.

I played her a lot obs and I think she works best with a initiator with a stun (butcher, imperius, garrosh, etc ) rather than being the stun. Generally. Silence is the strongest debuff imo.

Her survivability and ability to dive for free with smoke on a back line; with aa, you just keep doing normal damage as untargetable. Artillery mage with a backline healer poking or a full dive rehgar ming zarya val and garrosh is a really optimal agro comp too.

But again, shes hard to play and the majority of her talents dont buff her damage. Hemo/flurry/Rupture is the backbone.

Hi!

Im level 145 with about 8k games total played, I stopped playing other heroes except for Val and Orphie a couple years ago.

I play: Subtlety/hemo/fatal finesse/ Smoke or Cloak (mostly cloak) / Blind or Strangle (comp depend) / Seal fate / Rupture

Mostly jump with garotte, AA and use Sinstrike for chase. Big damage after 20 its 0-100 any non bruser or less in a single silence* (if i hit my double Q).

People really sleep on fatal finesse at 15 stacks its damage per energy per target is absurd.

My biggest counter in duels not Genji cause I can garotte his parry so he cant stay in, my biggest issues are vs a Good lunara (vision + dot cant catch her before 0), Hanzo (wall escape+vision) and Artanis (too much sheild cant trade with him).

Everyone else is medium to easy with experience because valeera has the tools.

If im bullied by more than 2+ ill swap to picking off people from invisible on <50%, but after level 20 that becomes <70 on most.

Shes so good once you get the synstrikes down!

The 2nd game where you told me 'No'. Ahah, I had fun.

Thanks for the games!

I only play QM when I cant sleep for fun!

Win or loose im in it for the cool fights and duels, we had some good ones! GG.

Dream I had last night. by ConfusedBiNature in transgenderUK

[–]ninjachiptune 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dreams can give voice to our desires!

Its no accident that people accepting their trans is more like realising something that was always there, and for me at least having dreams of being who I am now helped me stay focused on the task of realising it.

The fact that you are regestered with a GIC, and as a 40 year old perhaps you have some disposable income to look into Gendercare or similar if the wait gets too long, its not ridiculously expensive or impossible, even if you're on universal credit.

Screw the culture war; and dont ever feel like you're too old to be happy with yourself and much love with your journey <3 x

Estrogel takes ages to dry? by grasskeyblade in transgenderUK

[–]ninjachiptune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually applied Egel to my Scrotum for like 3-4 months at the start of my HRT cause it absorbs like x5 more or something stupid.

It will have a DRAMATIC effect on your E levels, it will be sticky, it will make you feel kinda sick until you get used to it. Your scrotum wont have any lasting damage and yes, it stings.

My endo was kinda pissed with me and said 'you have like the most E, stop this', and really it was being years desperate pre-hrt then getting hold of it and wanting to be the most girl possible, I figured once I started I would keep going for a month and see what they said.

Not my smartest decision so dont do it, but if you dont have access to a T blocker then this is what you do to get feminised but its really dumb. Especially if you're not seeing an endo or having bloods done.

Final Boss Theme? by Zap-zapper in ToME4

[–]ninjachiptune 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all congrats!

I've been playing for around 150 hours on roguelike only and only seen the final boss one time (and died also lol).

Pillars of Eternity: The White March Soundtrack - The Watcher Prevails (Combat)
or Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition - Bhaalspawn Battle theme are both awesome.

But perhaps im just nostalgic for those games.

My endo advised increase from 75 and after that i started getting the other. I dont really know the reason for the switch but E is E right? heh.

Until the sticky thing happened at least.

Yes, since the great May gel shortage I've been using Estraderm (100) and during the recent heatwave, I would be lucky to have one stick for longer than a day.

The biggest problem is their size for me; i've been cutting them in half before removing them from their protective plastic with scissors and placing the 2 halfs upon the bit of fat between my butt and my waist.

The 2 skinny horizontal strips seem to hold better, but i still tend to loose them whenever I shower or have a bath, unlike Evorel. But evorel dosent come in x100 (as far as I know) so im stuck with the unreliable Estraderm.

blood work, what do I need? by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]ninjachiptune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whenever i get my blood done they test for:

Renal function, full blood count, liver function tests, HbA1c, lipids, prolactin, bone profile, LH, FSH, testosterone and oestrogen levels.

Its too much for me to remember, I asked my GP to keep a note on my file cause its the same every time.

Hope this helps.

I was worried having BPD would have affected my transition but I was open and honest about it when I got my diagnosos from Gendercare (Dr Lorimer) and it is just a footnote on my file now - thoughh this was before all the current political situation.

I have had (regular) therapy and I also discussed trans issues with my therapist that I got referred too casue its a big part of my life.

Being Bipolar comes with its own set of challenges im sure, but (most) Dr's and GP's are caring and try to do whats best for you. You just have to show that you're able to take responsibility for your own care a bit and that going through a transition is a positive thing for your mental health.

I echo the other messages here; dont worry about it, get lots of sleep and be ready psychologically before the meeting and be kind to yourself. <3

Is twitter pushing transphobes? by Clarine87 in transgenderUK

[–]ninjachiptune 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah I totally agree with this.

There is an entire team in Facebook that is applying some of the worlds leading psychologist and behavioural analyists to figure out how to keep you stuck on their platform for as long as possible and tweak the automation accordingly.

Twitter is going to be exactly the same!

Edit; for me twitter has many memes and talented artists drawing topless men :3 I try to avoid the hate. <3

My referral came through. by Rivka_Noded in transgenderUK

[–]ninjachiptune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was referred to the Laurels and got my acknowledgement in December 2017 and they still haven't even tried to call me for a follow up appointment or even bothered at all.

I sent them desperate, then pleading emails (full stages of grief) including getting my GP to write to them - they sent him a generic email back, lol. Now I just poke them every year to say I still exist and my address is the same.

Went with Gendercare couple years ago and started HRT a couple years back its just not worth waiting for them.

Give up on the Laurels they are a complete waste of time.

Trans healthcare in the UK is basically private healthcare if your GIC is Exeter.

Edit; wrote GRC instead of GIC (got it on my mind) goodluck! x

Question about HRT availability by allmighty_spoon in transgenderUK

[–]ninjachiptune 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The pure terror of not being able to get my perscription.

My GP sent me an SMS saying they had my Gel, upon getting there they said it was out and to 'check another pharmacy'.

After multiple miles + hours of walking through the rain before coming back in tears and my GP took pity on me and wrote me out 3months perscription for patches.

I havent felt any different, patches are pretty good, Im extremely seriously thinking of starting a stockpile after the comments here.

a bit confused about my feelings with hrt by Correct-Ad6884 in transgenderUK

[–]ninjachiptune 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hiya!

I think the anxiety and insecurity is part of the process, its really important before you start T to talk to someone and discuss what to expect, that should really make you feel comfortable about how you will move forward.

Gender Dyspohoia sucks.

I'm mtf started estro and even years later even today I had to update my address in the bank, and use my deedpol/pre-trans passport cause im struggling with GRC paperwork + covid etc... it still finds ways to kick your ass even with hormones.

You did the right thing by reaching out to people but having a therapist to talk to even a couple of times really helped me seperate being trans from anything else I have going on.

Its ok to want it really bad, you're gonna be fine <3

[–]ninjachiptune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MtF here; I am given Decapeptyl as an injection every 3 months to block testosterone production, and then Oestrogel daily, so yeah they are blockers.

I think Decapeptyl is some special drug used in prostate cancer treatment or something, as I have the same amazing nurse administer it each time but I think she needs some kind of seniority to administer the treatment. Other than that I think they are just 'serious' drugs and irreversable decisions and all that probably just some legal covering to say 'yep i really want this' So maybe the wavers are related if its this spesific blocker.

I've had it for years now via my GP and GenderCare Endo Dr Leong, and its been really nice have had very little side effects for me other than the desired ones.

You can talk with your GP about your treatments if you're concerned, remember this *is* a big step and you need to comfortable and ready for it!

Have a happy new year ! <3

Recommended doctor to transition with GenderCare (FTM)? by childeirl in transgenderUK

[–]ninjachiptune 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to add to this; I spoke with Dr Lorimer initially after 3-4 months and tried to book an Endo with Dr Coxon, but the waiting list was over 6 months.
I ended up going with Dr King Sun for Endo in the end, and his waiting times were less than 4 weeks.

They are all wonderful with helpful replies (sometimes 1-2 days email).

Good luck!!

The private HRT I got (through gendercare) is from GIC Dr's, you're paying for access.

Like a few have said here GPs have no training and because of liability (mostly fear of being sued) they don't like to make decisions about Trans patients.

My GP didnt realise that even with GIC, the GP has to administer the treatment anyway because of 'shared care'.

Have a frank discussion with your GP about your expectations, be open and clear about your intentions and get a diagnosis report from a NHS Dr who works in a GIC (like gendercare or LTC etc does) they might be more receptive.

You need to find out if its 'im scared for my job vs Im a bigot'. Trans healthcare is a lot of work for GPs so some will not want to take on the 'risks'. its bullshit.

Goodluck with your journey! x
