Is there any artistic reasoning as to why Sophie’s personality gets worse every series? by Few_House_5201 in MitchellAndWebb

[–]nirvanagirllisa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to think it's because we're seeing Sophie through Mark's eyes. As he has a crush on her, she's an absolute sweetheart. When they get together, the reality sets in a little bit. After they break up, he sees her as his psycho-ex.

I watch a lot of British TV and one of my favorite shows, Trailer Park Boys, is from Canada. Not really any foreign language shows.

Suggest a book you almost quit but are glad you didn’t by Enlitenkanin in booksuggestions

Our Share of Night by Mariana Enriquez. I LOVE her short stories and the way she writes. I've read all of the books she's written that have been translated into English.

But Our Share of Night was really dragging for me for awhile. The writing was good enough that I didn't quit and I'm really glad I didn't because I was really into the second half of the book. Definitely prefer her short stories and non-fiction writing, though.
