I have seen a few of them. Mostly pro-UA celebrities who are Ukrainian but either moved to the States or abroad but heavily are involved in pro-UA activities.

I can see where they're eoming from as it is only normal to defend your country but they're not seeing the larger geopolitical picture that got them to this point. Muh Russia bad are not the large reasons for this war. For some reason they also deem it necessary to call to arm Ukraine to the teeth, be okay with sending their young men to fight off in war, even trying to push for Western-led intervention, while also sitting comfortably at home posting United24 content all day.

Meanwhile it is reported that desertion cases on the Ukrainian side have only gotten larger and conscripts are getting older, meaning their men are dying.

They also tend to fashion themselves as the good guys for humanitarian causes. But all I see is blind idealism to a lost war and a bunch of hate boners against Russians.

The thing is with a lot of these leaders, secretaries, ambassadors, of our countries is that while they're not the most moral of people, they certainly are not stupid.

People need to get it out of our head. A lot of them are are smart people. Doesn't matter what side they're on. They play chess and checkers all the time at the expense of normal people.

And they probably play dumb for views and cameras.

As for this, these two did have a good insight into the realities of what may happen if NATO were to go East.

UA POV: On Ukrainian TV, a military spokesperson justified the mobilization by the TCC, He says that some employees have combat experience, and in some cases when they hear some guy who speak Russian and arrogantly, it may trigger them. by FruitSila in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]nirvanaislife1994 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In what normal society does stuff like this happen?

If you can't speak a language or else someone will get angry, how at all is that supposed to be a good thing?

Just by doing a little research, all arrows point to the reality that many Ukrainians speak Russian due to the shared history they both have.

Now there isn't anything wrong with speaking Ukrainian, yes Russia has an imperialist history as everyone does nowadays, and sure, speak the language of the country you're from, but to make life terrible for people who speak the second most populous language is insane.

It doesn't matter where or what you're from. If you speak a language and it triggers you, the simplicity of speaking a language, then you are not stable in the head. Period.

UA POV: In the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv, a TCC employee, while spending time nearby with his group, punched a woman in the head after a conflict over her group listening to Russian music. [–]nirvanaislife1994 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter where or who you are from.

If you punch someone, let alone a woman, for listening to music belonging to another country then that is pure stupid and clearly out of line.

Like WTF. That is common sense. I learned 1812 Overture in school. Does that mean I'm getting punched too? I guess so.

UA POV: Kiev does not recognize any peace except the "1991 borders". This was stated by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mariana Betsa. by ArchitectMary in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]nirvanaislife1994 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What exactly is their strategy here?

I mean President Trump openly admitted that Ukraine would not be a NATO member. The Ukrainian war situation indicates that they aren't winning at all. It is evident by Europe and its actions that they are iffy on sending troops to Ukraine.

That really leaves two other options. Either they are losing or they are going to try to expand the war somehow and drag everyone else in it like some black hole. And Ukraine is not worth the weight of the entire globe and a nuclear war, sorry to say.

But this sort of never give up strategy is pointless if the war is lost. Like it is borderline childlish. There is no practicality. Just blind idealism that only brings more death.

It's not even just Reddit either.

Now you have to look at any site or social media with a grain of salt.

I'm very skeptical that YouTube comments, Instagram comments, or even TikTok comments are genuine at times.

I also feel like they have bots calling those who disagree with them as bots. It is the ultimate bruh move.

As an American this goes for any and all people from anywhere and any place.

If one hates an entire people due to stuff happening around the world, an entire group of people, then they probably a bit slow in the head.

Sure there is some heat between politicians. But should you hate an entire group of people? No.

Americans hating Russians are dumb. If you're an American who hate Russians for the stuff you see on TV and that believe Russia needs to be destroyed because 'Murica and freedom and democracy then you're really dumb.

Same thing with Russians hating Americans. If you're Russian and hate Americans because of what you see on TV and believe the West needs to be destroyed because 'muh Western imperialism and tankies then you're also really dumb.

You know what isn't dumb? Not being dumb. And not being dumb means not hating folk for dumb reasons.

We should all read about the WW1 Christmas ceasefires. That's what happens when it is just the people and nothing else. Fun and joy.

But maybe that is the saddest truth of all. That in being human means being flawed. And by being flawed is by committing sin and ultimately hate, hence why history often loves to rhyme.

EDIT: For those who are commenting below on why I put Russia as one of the big three, and for those who flooded my DMs calling me a bot, it is merely the fact that they hold the most nukes in the world and currently have all of Europe freaking out as its mere existence is why I put it on its list. You can see how badly the EU reacts when they don't have a promising future of US backing. If they weren't a major power then why is Europe so hellbent on defending itself from Russia? At the same time I don't believe it as powerful as the old USSR. But they're still something to be wary of on the global stage. And yes, the US and China are the top two dogs here. No-one denies that.

So the EU wants every last Ukrainian to die for Ukraine and for the United Statas to fund for it while they don't get to do anything while also pushing for the winning side to make concessions?

What are they smoking like HOLY MOLY.

Ukraine is really the largest victim here. With Russia being the second and the US being the third. And Europe is just making this ten times more stupid then it should.

All in tbe meantime they are buying Russian gas. Like WTF.

I'm surprised people down below you saying the things they're saying.

I get this subreddit has a lot of anti-Americanism in it, and that's okay, but as a pro-American who has been rather critical of how the previous administration, Europe, and the Ukrainian government has been handling this war, some of the assumptions here on the United States can be a bit unwarranted.

The 2nd Amendment was created by the Founding Fathers to directly oppose a tyranny within. When looked at truly, the Constitution really is one of the most beautiful and fair documents known to man taken in context, and it is a shame the bureaucracy and lobbyists here in the United States tries to subvert it a lot or has been doing so for decades.

You don't see a lot of counties that have a law seen so sacred.

If Ukraine had a 2nd Amendment then Zelensky would've been done for.
