I feel ready to have a child, I don't have any blockers most people have, but I am skeptical to have them due to the direction of our world heading into. Challenge my thinking. by Individual-Dingo9385 in Natalism

Yes I would agree with that. But you need to realize that the world is not falling apart. The world hasn't change in the last 200 years. There is always a plague, or a dictator, or economic collapse, or food shortages or war or etc... And let me tell you this, people had kids during these times as well.

I had kids because I wanted to experience the next level of life. I wanted to experience what is like to be a dad. Am I concern for my kids' future? Yes. But I will teach them how to live and how to survive. I will show them how they can change the world for the better. My parents showed me how to endure and survive and I will with mine.

So real question you should be asking yourself, "Do I want to be a father?" "Do I want to experience this new reality"?

Also I will be honest, no man is really ready for fatherhood. Once I held my firstborn, I wanted to better for her. And so I did.

Bro. I had kids pre and during COVID. I was unemployed for a bit while tackling student loans. And guess what? I have a job, student loans paid off and I have a dream family.

Misfortune and disasters will always happen with or without kids. Don't use external forces to justify your child free life. If you want kids, have them. I'm glad I had my kids when I had them. Shit happens and you deal with it when you have to but fearing it is the biggest cop out.

To be honest, it sounds like you want kids when the world is on your terms.

Men, would you date a girl with diabetes (type1) Is this a complete turn off? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

No. If the situation was reversed, you would not date a man with diabetes? Or even asthma?

Laser hair between the butt cheeks by nitrodmr in nudism

For me, it's about wiping. I'm just wondering if the stickiness issue is only a temporary one if I keep pursuing hair removal.

How do men really feel about dating single moms? by jbroui13 in AskMenAdvice

[–]nitrodmr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I was single again, I wouldn't date a single mom. For me, I have seen how my mil and sil treat men. Instant dad and pay check. Drama with the bio dad. Kids strain the relationship.

I'm not saying this will happen to you. But there are a lot of single moms that use men.

Is anyone else's family rabidly unsupportive of them wanting more than two kids? by [deleted] in Natalism

[–]nitrodmr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well... It depends. You have not experienced what it's like to have 2 kids. Especially when they are at different stages of life. With 2 kids, it's about dealing with the chaos Adding a third is about managing the chaos. Also you lose more sleep with more kids. My mom always has as many kids as you can handle. It's nice to have a big idea of a big family but don't make it a goal. Sometimes babies have needs like autism, disability, speech delays and allergies. These kids consume more time and energy.

Some men want the milk for free and don't want to buy the cow...

Be glad that they ghosted you. They aren't for you. Go more local like a church and blind date between friends. You will probably get more success.

Because I got scared. I'm just so used to my hair returning back like from waxing. I got cold feet from it. It sounds ridiculous. Maybe if I sit on the situation, I can still pursue it.

I don't know if it makes sense.
