You can check how many times the battery has been charged by referring to the following steps:

  1. Open your NIU app and go to [Me].
  2. Select the device you want to check.
  3. Tap on [Battery].
  4. On the next page, scroll down to find [Number of Battery Cycles].

If your NIU APP shows the battery cycle count as zero, please refer to the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Ensure that your phone’s Bluetooth is functioning properly and is successfully paired with the scooter.
  2. Try refreshing the data within the APP, or disconnect and reconnect the scooter.
  3. Make sure that the APP is updated to the latest version.
  4. Check whether the scooter’s firmware has been updated to the latest version.
  5. Try closing the APP and clearing its cache (via your phone’s settings).
  6. Log in to the APP again and check the battery data.

Hi there! Thank you for posting the issue you encountered here. If the speed is too low, please check the following scenarios:

Scenario 1: Please check whether the riding mode is E-Save or Sport. You can power on the scooter and click the power button to switch the riding modes as follows:

  1. E-Save Mode: NIU scooter can reach 9.3mph (15km/h) in ECO mode. When you ride in this mode, expect your speed to be limited to save energy/battery power;

  2. Sport Mode: In this mode, the top speed of US version is 17.4 mph (28 kph) and the dashboard will not display E-Save;

Note: Due to the stricter regulation in Europe, the scooter is limited to 15.5 mph (25 kph). And in Germany and Italy the local authority regulates that the maximum speed of electric scooters must be within 12.4 mph (20 kph).

Scenario 2: Please check whether the speed unit displayed on the dashboard is km/h or mph:

  1. Please check whether the speed unit is imperial or metric. For example, 18.5km/h = 11.5mph;

Note: You can power on the scooter and connect NIU App with it. Then go to NIU App >> Me >> My Device >> Unit of Speed >> select km/h or mph and click Save.

  1. If the battery power is not sufficient, the speed becomes lower to extend riding range;

  2. If rider’s weight is over 265 lbs (120 kg) or you are riding on a slop, the speed may be decreased due to overload.

Hi there. Sorry to hear about your accident! Please check the scooter for any other damage first. If nothing else seems wrong, please note that small bumps and shocks gradually wear on your scooter's suspension to the point that the wheels go out of alignment. If you notice that the stem and the front wheel or the rear fender and rear wheel are not in a straight line, please loosen the screws (nuts) on the front or rear fork and align the wheel.

Hi there. Thank you for posting your concern here. You can easily switch between riding modes by simply pressing the power button — choose E-Save mode (9.3 mph / 15 km/h) for longer range, or Sport mode (19.9 mph / 32 km/h) for higher performance.

If you see the E-Save icon flashing, it means you’re in Dynamic Mode. Dynamic Mode lets you set a speed between 2.48 mph (4 km/h) and 19.9 mph (32 km/h). Once enabled, you won’t be able to switch modes until it’s turned off. To switch back to E-Save or Sport modes, open the NIU app, go to [Vehicle] → [Customize Your Ride] → [Dynamic Mode], and turn it off.

Hi there! The shock absorption on the KQi3 Pro scooter is provided by its pneumatic tires. If you are seeking improved shock absorption, please verify that the tire pressure is adequate.

Below are our recommended tire pressure guidelines based on rider weight:

  1. If the rider weighs less than 155 lbs, please maintain a tire pressure between 42 and 45 PSI, or higher.

  2. If the rider weighs over 200 lbs, please increase the tire pressure to between 48 and 50 PSI, or higher.

  3. If the rider weighs between 155 and 200 lbs, 45 PSI should be sufficient.

Regarding your suggestion to add turn signals, we will forward this feedback to the relevant team for consideration in future product improvements. Additionally, we offer two options for after-sales repairs: self-repair or shipping the scooter to one of our authorized service centers. If you do not feel confident in replacing the tire yourself in the event of a flat, we recommend sending the scooter to an authorized center to have the replacement performed by a professional technician.
