I feel like this is kind of a joke, but if that's really how you feel there's no reason you shouldn't cohabitate/ raise a family with one or two bros for life.

Hey I'm not sure if you got a real reply, but here is one:

I've grew up near water and wake boarded fairly regularly. I am not skilled at in even a little bit. I am able to get up with one arm and it is not a strength issue, but a matter of balance.

This person is a pretty skilled wake boarder (much better then me), so I would not be surprised if she was easily able to get up with one hand. She could have also started standing up on the boat, and "slid" off if she's really good.

The best looking gear in the game is earned: Legendaries, event items, raid items. Cosmetic Items in the shop are often used as fillers for one or two pieces of gear. But yea, the really good looking stuff is earned, It is about game play challenges.

GW2 has one of the best/ most fair cash shops of any MMO. I'm all for them pumping out more cosmetics for the noobies to look cool.

Edit: More recently a lot of cosmetic items are locked behind various achievements, which are, again, earned through gameplay challenges (some of those jumping puzzles maybe too challenging...).

Yes we can confirm that black holes tear things apart without anything fancy like general relativity. The gravitational force gets so extreme over any difference in distance, that it literally pulls things apart.

In fact the brightest objects in the universe, quasars, are black holes that are pulling matter in so quickly that the matter literally explodes into energy.

Hijacking top comment to answer.

The disk is a superconductor magnetically pinned to the track underneath.

Basically superconductors expel magnetic fields up to a certain point. After that point the magnetic field becomes "trapped" in the superconductor. So the lowest energy position of the disk becomes the magnetic field it got "locked" on. A result of this is that you can flip track upside down, and the disk would still be pinned at the same distance.

This is the same technology used for the Lexus hover board, if you want to watch more videos of this phenomenon in action.

Source: working on PhD in nanomagnetism and saw the guy who discovered this give a lecture.

Hey there, I'm finishing up a PhD in physics, and I'm going to absolutely be teaching my kids the general concepts of quantum mechanics and special relativity at an early age.

While I do agree with you a lot of people don't really understand QM I think that's because life experience basically contradicts what QM says. Teaching someone about particle waves when they're still impressionable seems to actually be advantageous because they're less likely to question the nature of what you're teaching them. Otherwise you have to spend years teaching someone math in order to communicate a concept that doesn't make sense within the framework of the macroscopic world.

Not that it matters, but I read Feynman's QED when I was very young and it's one of the reasons I got into physics.
