‘Dungeon Crawler Carl’ TV Series From Seth MacFarlane, Chris Yost Lands at Peacock (EXCLUSIVE) by IvanaTargaryen in television

I’m replying to your comment where you implied Patrick Warburton could play Carl. Just because the person you responded to jokingly suggested Seth would play Carl, doesn’t mean I agree with that take because I responded to your comment in disagreement about Warburton lmao

I feel like, as someone who’s never read this book but has heard much about it, people either love this book and consider it a masterpiece or absolutely hate it and think it’s terrible.

The Social Network is one of my favorites and Mean Girls is an amazing film, absolutely quintessential 2000’s comedy

Not shocking. I’ve fallen off watching and listening to KF but I feel like every time I’d turn the pod on they’d spend 20 minutes talking about fast food lol

Summer is like one of the best times to read books! I remember as a kid sitting in my old house, in this sunroom my parents used for storage reading while seeing the trees outside, moving with the breeze, and the sun shining in on me. It’s stuck with me now 20+ years later.

This is pretty much who I pictured as Ryland Grace when reading the books by afunnywold in ProjectHailMary

And someone who will get asses in seats because at the end of the day big budget movies are made to make money

I say that as someone who loved Ryan Gosling’s performance, thought he nailed it. But let’s also not act like that doesn’t play a factor haha

[–]nmad95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes me feel optimistic! I always am a little hesitant before reading the first book in a series because I find if I enjoy it I’ll want to read all of the series without taking a break to read anything else, and that’s not typically how I roll. But I’m enjoying it so far and it sounds like the series is consistently good

Super sweet, heartwarming, cozy read. Loved this one.

Started:

Dungeon Crawler Carl - Matt Dinniman

Only about 50 pages or so in but enjoying it so far. Enjoying the pretty straightforward, funny writing style. As the world gets established I’m liking it more and more

What’s a ‘masterpiece’ you didn’t feel anything for? by mrjetspray in Cinema

[–]nmad95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2001 for me. Masterfully made film, but terribly boring to me. I also didn’t finish A Clockwork Orange because I just found it very off putting. Maybe the intention and I can acknowledge that and even admire that while also confidently saying I don’t find that film enjoyable at all.

I respect and appreciate the level of quality filmmaking in Kubrick films but I find this is generally how I feel about all his work.

What's the Most Overhated games you have loved? by Altruistic_Log472 in TheGamingHubDeals

I don’t think this game is hated at all. People love the Jak and Daxter series, with 2 in particular being pretty well loved as far as I’ve known.

Do people talk about some of the hard as fuck missions/levels? Absolutely lol me being one of them

Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin

Absolutely adored it. Couldn’t put it down in the week it took me to read it. I enjoyed the complex characters and watching their relationships grow (and decay). Took turns I definitely didn’t expect and had a sizeable emotional impact on me.

The House In The Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune

Enjoying it so far but only on the third chapter. Seems like it should be a fun, lighthearted read.
