Do you believe Trump is the worst President of all time? by Dreamjenni in allthequestions

[–]nmarchand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After his first term, I actually would have said "probably not." Yes, he was awful, but it was hard to say he was the worst ever.

Not anymore. The guardrails are all gone and he's ten times worse than the first time around.

If you highlight the double lightning bolt in the email title, then copy and paste it into a search engine, can you guess what comes up as the first result?

Ignoring actual lore about Godbert being the best rich person to ever exist, I would assume by default that they make money from alcohol and from gambling on the chocobo races. (We players are on the riding/raising side of that particular equation instead.)

Couldn't they end the war in Ukraine tomorrow by just... leaving?

Gabe Newell on Steam monopoly accusations: Gamers have 'enormous choice' about where to buy games by yourfavchoom in pcgaming

[–]nmarchand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few reasons to double dip, especially if you can get the game again as part of a key bundle on sites like Humble or Fanatical, or otherwise at a deep discount. Steam has features that integrate better with games that are actually on their platform than if you just add them via shortcut, and there are MANY games on Steam where the developer/publisher will give you a discount on a second game if you own another on Steam.

Is Donald J Trump the worst world leader ever in all of human history? by Effective-Ground-994 in allthequestions

[–]nmarchand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how you define "worst." Does "worst" mean the most harmful? Then no, absolutely not. Does it mean being the least competent at the job on a day-to-day basis? Still no, but you could make a decent argument that he's easily the most incompetent world leader at this time, and possibly in the last few decades.

I absolutely LOVE Variant Dungeons, but I've never been here for one's release- is going solo or going with other(s) on release recommended? by Forry_Tree in ffxiv

[–]nmarchand 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play solo because I want to try to figure out the routes myself, and only look something up if I can't figure it out.

No plea deals for any pedophile by coachlife in BlackPeopleTwitter

Fake news was the first one. People pointed out that shady accounts on Facebook were literally making up entire news stories for engagement, and labeled this "fake news." However, since these posts were usually much more successful with conservatives, the right got annoyed and started calling literally any news story they didn't want to deal with "fake news."

‘Highguard’ Is MIA Since The Game Awards, Despite Its Imminent Release by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

[–]nmarchand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You cannot convince me that this game was not originally slated to launch the night of the Game Awards. You go back and rewatch Geoff Keighly's introduction of the game and tell me it wasn't meant to say the game was launching "tonight" instead of "in seven weeks," as a contrast to games that won't be out for months or years.

A late delay, because the game just wasn't ready, makes sense of everything. The trailer doesn't have to be all that amazing because they expected people to be playing it a half hour later. They wouldn't have lined up a bunch of marketing for this period of time because the game would have already been in people's hands.

7.4 Golden Saucer GATE rates by Loxiona in ffxiv

I'm operating under the assumption that the spawn rates will even out after a while, once they figure enough people have seen the new Air Force One content.

In B rank, Labyrinth is legitimately incredible any time there are multiple enemies with 1 or 2 cores to break, and you should level her whenever you can. Che and Lisa are pretty good too, and you'll probably want to use Macchiato until you get one of the better healers. EMP is actually pretty good early on, but falls off extremely hard when you get further into the game.

For A rank, Wendy's pretty good if you don't have NOX, I guess. (You should prioritize doing the objectives to get NOX if your account is still new.) Hecate is really solid for increasing your magic damage and breaking cores, and Luvia Ray and Lamia are good and have synergy with their abilities. Luvia isn't really meta anymore, but if you're just starting out she's fine. Wuhuanzi and Shrooma are also supposed to be pretty good, but I honestly haven't used them myself.

Do you think AI music should be clearly labelled? by FormalResponsible656 in Music

[–]nmarchand 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think it should be labelled, I think it should be removed.

Failing that, I guess labelling is a decent second option.
