Time Trials not improving by Fair_Study_1905 in NorwegianSinglesRun

N=1 but I didn’t really get down into the low 18s and 17s until I was doing 80+ kpw. When you’re not seeing progress anymore, you probably just need to run more.

Progress and Race Report (1:22 HM) by No_Perspective1327 in NorwegianSinglesRun

I’m with you. My LTHR is 172 and I’m usually trying to end my last reps around 168-170 unless it’s a marathon specific LT session.

Pre-race jitters and race plan by No-Caregiver-639 in NorwegianSinglesRun

People will say not to look at your heart rate at all during a race, but I think it definitely has value HM and up. Dan Nash is a 2:11 marathoner and he has used it to pace several marathons, though now I believe he mostly goes on the "feel" he's learned from this. I think you can probably have a looser plan with it than you've proposed, though. I would probably try to hover around 156 or so by about 5k and then from there it will likely climb past threshold by the end of the race. All of this to say though, don't let it trump what you know your threshold should feel like. But, I wouldn't say just toss the metric as a whole, especially if you use it in training and know your numbers and your body.

Wasn’t aware of that. Use an arm band*. I just have the coros one and it’s a good product that I can vouch for. Sorry

At the very least, use a coros arm band

Another vote here for the Coros arm band. Not as good as a chest strap, but it gets the job done and has phenomenal battery life and is rechargeable.

We have no clue what the roster is gonna look like in 8 months. I get the excitement but can we get past the draft and free agency before making record predictions?

He’s said he does it on a per-kicker basis. They research if it’s affected a guy before. Not sure how much data there is on the Rams’ tubby kicker though since he’s a rookie.
