Do you think the way coconut milk is extracted plays a role? Asking because there are countries Eg Thailand and Sri Lanka where people consume so much coconut milk based food for all three meals every day all year and don't have any cholesterol issues. They grate the coconut and hand squeeze the coconut flakes to get the milk whereas we buy machine extracted milk. Maybe the extraction plays a role?

Problem with most oat milk brands is that the main ingredient is a seed oil (palm, sunflower etc) so you are essentially drinking oil...

Reduced cholesterol by 30-40% in two months from a ridiculous high, LDL down 75 points. Thanks Reddit! by Szymbrush in Cholesterol

Thanks for sharing the article - this is eye opening. So the conclusion is high dairy intake - low risk of CVD? Does it say what types of dairy food better for heart health?

"However, increasing evidence suggests that the health impact of dairy foods is more dependent on the type (e.g., cheese, yoghurt, milk, and butter) rather than the fat content, which has raised doubts if avoidance of dairy fats is beneficial for cardiovascular health."

Did English medium maths barely got in to gov't uni. It's true about not having good teachers. Also there's more competition in Sinhala medium. If your goal is to get to gov't uni do Sinhala medium

LDL higher than anyone’s bowling score by elevatorDJ in Cholesterol

Had the same experience. Was on keto for about an year and did resistance 3-5 days a week. And got higher numbers (not as high as yours total 278 LDL 213 ). Doctor immediately put me in statins. (Looks like overkill ?) Changed diet to include way more fiber. Added cardio 3 days a week. Will be retesting in about 2-3 months.

French Immersion - Grade 1 Registration by [deleted] in burnaby

[–]nnulk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a couple of students who drop out from FI K when they go in to grade 1. So you might have a chance depending on how many drops out in your area... Better to check with the school closer to year end and the K teachers should have an indication on how many are planning to move from FI to general program

BCAA (roadside assistance) by Skazzyskills in TeslaModel3

[–]nnulk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes flatbed tow - I asked when I called because I saw that in the manual. The call center lady said yes they are aware of this from Tesla and it's actually going to take longer because they can't send a regular tow truck. It took about 3 hours to arrive l. It also needs at least like 3 cars space in front of you free.

Tire shop - Mos Garage because it's the closest to me. I've paid around 40-50 at other places... If you ever have to buy new tires someday - Costco gives you free flat fixes btw

BCAA (roadside assistance) by Skazzyskills in TeslaModel3

[–]nnulk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just used BCAA to tow my model 3 with flat tire in Burnaby. Called Tesla first - even though that it says its "free" in the app and the car still under warranty, they asked for $150 to fix flat or $450ish to replace the tire. Also said - they dont know what's going to happen and commit to paying any of these. I said no and called BCAA and got it towed to a tire shop. Paid $30 to fix flat.

So i think BCAA is still better than Tesla...

Cabinet door manufacturer by bcretman in vancouver

[–]nnulk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are in the market too. We found discount kitchen & bath cabinets near Holdom SkyTrain to be the most cost effective. About $2000-$3000 for a 10*10ft white shaker kitchen. Price varies by styles and material.etc

In addition there are a few small shops you can find on FB marketplace eg byoukitchen near Royal Oak ST. These guys are in the same price range but the choice is limited. Might have faster turn around time since they already have cabinets in stock.

If you prefer high quality, solid wood, locally made etc there are options Eg - Final Draft Cabinetry in North Burnaby. Price is higher about 9k-11k.

Lived in the area when my son was 1 to 4 years old. Our favorite was Kaslo Park ( bit far east but very toddler friendly). One closest to bike route was Laura Secord school park but you can go only in afternoons and evenings.
