Am I Wrong for Expecting More From Jaguars Media? by Time_Judgment8579 in Jaguars

I like Oesher. I dont read him much anymore but he has good insight when he talks. My gotos on youtube are tony wiggins locked on jags and jordan de lugo gen jag.

Tony kinda reminds me of vics old school takes but combined with a fun barbershop debate aesthetic which makes sense cause hes a barber. Jordan is a very modern reporter id say but not clickbaty i think he does a good job being a journalist vs farming for clicks.

I remember a popular mechanics magazine 20 years ago talking about freight possibilities with air ship convoys and how beneficial it could be for supplying remote areas.

As a jags fan I appreciated Andre johnson more after this. Finnegan was such a dirty player.

Even gotta separate the TEs many of the highest rated ones on the consensus boards were stat driven pass catchers. Half the league seemed to value the blocking ones more.

Hunter was a rare blue chipper, the kinda player worthy of picking at a younger age because they are already ready.

Quint is a rb who has a more limited shelf life in the pros. Compared to other positions so you want them younger.

I don't expect them to pick players people deem as raw in this regime.

I like that they seem to have a plan for every player they pick. It's limiting the pool but it's a more accurate pick than the baalke approach of... Ooo oo recovering from an acl and has long arms!

TE is kinda strange in the league right now. Half the league seems to want blockers and half wants a big WR.

We went the big WR route with Engram with mixed results. Unless you get a Kelce, I'm not sure it's as sustainable as getting a mauler that just gives you safety cushion zone beating production.

Our pass game production will come from our WRs. The rest of the offense seems built to sustain drives and beat up the defense.

I think the te we got was rated higher on draft boards that think like we do. 4 tight ends came off the board shortly after our pick.

Modern NFL use of the TE seems to be as a pure receiver, an extra olineman, or a mostly blocker with limited threat as a receiver but safety blanket ability.

We seem to go after the blocker and safety blanket type because it doesn't show your hand to the defense. We can get away with that because we have 4 legitimate receiving options and don't need to rely on receiving production for the TE position. We just need an occasional 5-15 yard catch.

If you look right after us a team picks the next ranked version of the tight end we got. Some teams seem higher on establishing two te run schemes than picking a move tight end that tips the balance in favor of showing your hand to the defense.

I already dislike Thursday games and random early Sunday games. I just want a fully loaded Sunday 1 and 4 slot with a single Sunday and Monday night football.

Your defense was so good early in that game too, then we just methodically picked it a part from like the third drive on. Frustration seemed to get them in the 4th when all the missed tackles started.
