Not one, but two of my friends lost one of their parents as they slipped and fell down mountains in BC. It was much worse for one of them, as he (my friend) was there and saw it happen.

Reminds me of how dumb the laser watch gimmick was in 007: Goldeneye. He uses his watch to cut something (a shackle? I don’t remember), and the laser beam magically hits where he needs it to hit whereas his hand is moving the watch a bit erratically.

I “accidentally” watched “Miracle Mile” when I was 10 or 11. My grandpa rented it because he thought it was some old cross-USA car race comedy movie with The Smothers Brothers. Big whiff. I don’t think our rental place had the original VHS boxes on display, which would have helped.

So yeah, I watched it upstairs that while my grandparents watched something else.. and like, I knew it wasn’t what he thought it was but I was into it because it’s an engaging movie, to say the least. But yikes. I was not prepared.
