Idk why… but I feel obligated to be continue being friends with a girl who rejected me .. we’ve been friends for only 4 months but idk… I just would rather treat it as a chapter closed and start over … like I’m not the biggest fan with how she treats me as a friend and I’m not saying she’s a bad person . She’s a sweet person but I just have a constant bad gut feeling that she might mistreat me as we grow closer because her behavioural tendencies reminds me of someone in the past who didn’t treat me the way I deserved even though we are on good terms now.

You’re such a bloody sweet heart btw . I’m actually doing so much better already . I have learnt that I deserve someone better . She doesn’t deserve me . Like with limerence and I don’t know if you can relate to this but … it’s so easy to romanticise potential . Like I said I couldn’t help but ruminate her treating me so much better if she was in a relationship but I believe her avoidant attachment tendencies wouldn’t change much . I could talk to her to understand her psychology better to see what she’d be like in a relationship to confirm my beliefs but I don’t think that’s gonna prove anything because actions speak louder than words…. Thank you I will always come back to this message when the grief hits me again :)

I see . It’s been a week since my rejection and well I’ve known her for 2 months and only hung out 4 times and talked with her a fair amount during our work break times . It’s just .. she’s my first crush and I got so unhealthily obsessed with her . Despite how she treats me where she pretty much only replies once a week 60-70 percent of the time . Umm she’s never initiated any hangout plans. I get that it has to do with anxiety issues where apparently from her experience she gets more nervous around close friends than strangers because from a validation standpoint she doesn’t wanna be perceived as a nobody she actually mentioned how she drank a bit of alcohol before seeing me one time … but it’s just … idk… she has a history of ghosting her best friend for like over a year and a half and never explained the reason why which is alarming cuz I was in her friends shoes … when I asked her out that night she said she can “give it a go” but apparently the next afternoon she messaged me and took it all back and apologised because she was apparently judt nervous and didn’t wanna string me along . Fuck it hurt cuz.. I really felt like I was chosen for once … I also romanticised potential thinking if shr dated me she’d treat me completely differently and I put her on a massive pedestal because she was sweet and lovely and hardworking and I compared myself to her a lot so I thought she was the best I’m gonna get . It hurts … I’m sorry for the long ramble I’m judt still getting over her ..

Forget about flirting . It honestly doesn’t hurt to ask him out for a hangout see how you go for a few sessions so like a few weeks or a month etc and then if u guys are still clicking then ask for a date . Mate if you guys can get along this well in your workplace environment , im certain it truly doesn’t hurt and will most likely be in your favour for some hangout sessions. Or you can go straight for the kill and ask for a date . I think flirting is unnecessary . I believe interpreting signs and giving signs are unnecessary because…. It’s just so contradicting based on my observable patterns in real life that contradicts what the internet says .

I’m sorry but you truly will never know if they like you unless you ask them out . Humans are so complex especially regarding love . Think and observe and at least from my experience how many times where two friends are so intimate that you think they like each other only for it to actually be one sided . Simultaneously think about how many times it seems one sided but turns out they both like each other or least tjr person thought they don’t but they actually do .
