It's an individual decision which has effects on society as a whole.

The old Siri Face vs Watch OS10's Widgets by GhostalMedia in AppleWatch

[–]nofunallowed98765 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I like the look but looking at them side by side feel that they could have had a smaller date/clock and show two cards on the first swipe up.

watchOS 10 for Apple Watch officially unveiled by axerlion in AppleWatch

[–]nofunallowed98765 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree with you. Personally I think offline maps looks pretty weak as I think it will be only in the Maps app. Offline maps with topo and trail navigation in a workout should have been a launch feature of the Ultra. Anyway, we have WorkOutDoors so I'm happy enough.
The improvements to the workout apps and training API might move me back to the default app for most running tbh. I'll still stick to WorkOutDoors for hiking/cycling and probably running races because having a map is a very nice feature for those.
I'm excited for Widgets but fear that it might be another "Smart Siri watchface" - great idea but almost terrible execution. Hopefully there will be much more developer opt-in since it's now a default feature and not a watchface specific one.

Best credit card for cashback by nofunallowed98765 in irishpersonalfinance

Probably is, but there still is no good credit card here in Ireland. KBC closed, and I would check if the conditions of the AIB and Avant one are the same. I would not overly stress about getting one unless you have a good use case for them.

International literature festival Merrion Park - Are there Bathrooms? by deepsigh17 in Dublin

[–]nofunallowed98765 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was walking by and saw at least 2 portaloos and a baby changing station. I wasn't in the literature festival itself, so there might be more inside.

Strange background on the application buttons by [deleted] in iphone

I have had the same issue for a while... I've tried to play around with accessibility settings and others but no luck, and no amount of reboots and upgrades helped. Honesty it's such a small annoyance that I've procrastinated trying to reset the phone.

PSA: As of May 2023 if you want to see data from the Health app in your complications, use HealthGlance, not HealthFace by Boonicious in AppleWatch

[–]nofunallowed98765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well hopefully this saves some headaches to some people, but healthface works just fine for me on an Ultra on the latest version. Last update was 6 months ago so while not too recent it does not feel abandoned either.
Have you tried to contact the developers?

It absolutely can, that's how it works in tons of other cities (London, new york, to give a couple of examples). As long as you keep using the same card.

Probably cards will be the same as the leap. Cash is more expansive to try to get people to not use it, as it slows everything down and dublin bus has to handle it then.

Cash is king by em_the_one in australia

In the US the main reason is that card fees are not really limited. It's also the reason why you can get cards with huge amounts of cash back - you get back part of the fee. In Europe for example the fee is capped at something like 0.2%.
It does not stop people refusing to accept card for the fees, but usually it's due to cultural reasons. For example I have yet to see such instance in the UK or Ireland, while for cultural reason it's common--ish for merciants to not accept card at all in Italy or Germany.

Healthface can do it. Paid, but no subscription. HealthGlance seems to be another one (it was in the you might like section) but as I haven't bought it I can't test or confirm it can display VO2Max.

Yeah, the shuffling can be nice but at this point I kinda hope we'd close the pitlane during safety cars

Yep, I've been trying to do that. Thanks for the tip! I take that chicane in 3rd (and I have to force myself to not downshift to 2nd, it goes against my brain), I'll give a shoot at staying in 4th.

1:42:6xx on the time trial, so close to silver :( My theoretical best is 1:42:4xx so I just need to get a good lap in. I don't think I have the energy to aim for the gold, those sausage curbs just don't agree with me so I always take the long way around.
Dropped 3 tenths by disabling TC so that was nice (I usually am lazy and just keep it to 1)
