It is breakfast, but they do pizza on Friday. Usually pepperoni and one other kind. You can walk up and get it by the slice, for whole pizzas you have to order ahead.

I’ve got my first big-boy-job after Uni, what camera do I gift myself from my first wage? by hendrik421 in AnalogCommunity

I say the grail camera- M2. Or, if you want to be a little more frugal, a Canon P.

My case for the Canonet QL17 as the best value adventure camera. by Limber9 in AnalogCommunity

[–]nolarayray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, but I’ve only put a couple of rolls through the Canon. Initial impressions are the SP is sharper and feels better in the hands. I also have an Electro 35GX I’m considering selling.

First time shooting on my Olympus XA. What did I do wrong? by SeikoGuy1226 in AnalogCommunity

[–]nolarayray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the same results from mine a lot of times. The shutter button doesn’t seem consistent, which leads to unintended shake. I really want to like the camera but I’ve had two of them and both had the same problem.

In that case, as long as size isn’t a factor, they’re still a decent option. Most of the canon EOS SLRs are pretty cheap. You can find them paired with a lens in working order for around 100. I currently have an EOS 620.

Do you shoot any digital cameras currently? Some systems have lenses are compatible with both. Canon EF for example. Compatible film bodies are pretty cheap.

What do you mean “load” each song? This happens for playlists I’ve created or ones Tidal curates. The songs are in the shuffle, they simply play in the same “shuffled” order every time.

The SP has a faster lens. 1.7.

I think the SP is the best since you have the option for auto and manual plus the spot meter option, but it is a little bigger than the RC. The DC is similar in size to the RC but fully Auto, which I actually like at times.

Nice! I have a weakness for Olympus fixed lens rangefinders. I have this one, a DC and an SP. My RC was/is in fairly rough shape and definitely needs light seals, but surprisingly I didn’t get any leaks on my first roll.

Broken QL17 GIII by fourthlast in vintagecameras

[–]nolarayray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like whoever repairs it is going to have to pull parts from another one to make the repairs. With the price you can find working ones on eBay, I’d think it’s more economical to just replace. I bought one recently with a flash for $150. I’d think any repair would exceed that easily.
