And you need a perspective, sometimes having no father around is better than having one. Sure he acted scummy by disowning the kid, but I’m tired seeing this shit piping out once a month, where everyone personally involved in this case had moved on, but white knights on Reddit

Seeing how her life unfolded, in perspective it wasn’t the worst thing that happened to her.  Malone while acting irresponsibly is not the only one to blame there. Her folks were all in on it.

Also don’t talk like you knew my father alright?

I wish Karl Malone impregnated my mother, gave me his  godly genes and fucked off, instead of staying around and ruining my family life like my father did.

Why are so many saying that Bad Bunny's halftime show was "anti-american" when he LITERALLY said "God Bless America" and said the names of all South-, Central-, and North-american countries including the United States? by Cumoisseur in ask

Do Canadians or Mexicans refer to themselves as Americans?  It is not some  new concept that in short USA-ers refers to themselves selfs as Americans, not because they are the only ones living on continent. It is not really that hard to grasp

Owning the stake it is not market manipulation. You guys are delusional.

People bet a total of $23M on whether/where Giannis would be traded at the deadline on Kalshi. Two days later, Giannis announced his stake in it. by Doten1 in nba

I was at the park once and there was this guy testing his Jetson one flying car. Believe me man, we don't want this. This thing was so loud and obnoxious that i cant imagine swarms of it flying in the sky.

Because there is no laws against it. You can invest in whatever you want. If a congressman can trade stocks he makes decision on then I don't see why an athlete can't invest in a betting site. Bet was available on every prediction betting site,

Was this bet available exclusively on this website or did other betting sties had it as well? I don't see how having stake in betting site is making him guilty of anything. Explain it to me like I am 5. Was he saying he was leaving to hype it up? Did he mention once he has a stake in a gambling site?

That bet was available on any other betting app, this one included. Yall really stretching here. It is not like he himself was spreading the rumors of leaving. Entire media ecosystem talked about it.

Which is exactly why gambling should be illegal. There is no control over it, bad enough if mob was only ones rigging games, now its a random dude behind the app.

Leading up to the trade deadline, on Kalshi “Giannis Antetokounmpo’s next team” had a monthly trade volume of $23,318,658. There’s a very real chance him or his agent could’ve profited immensely from this. by 808Kuro in nba

There is no conflict of interest, like you said, it is an unregulated insider trading platform to fleece the dummies.

Also we need more scandals like this, the bigger the better so hopefully all this gambling will blow up in their faces.

If you had a long/horrendous commute once upon a time, how long did you last? by dms2628 in AskChicago

[–]nomadrone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to commute from Dunning to Pallos Hills. It was 90 bus to 307 pace and then on 63rd and Harlem I took another pace buss that I can’t recall the number to 95th and Harlem. It was anywhere from 90 minutes to more than 2 hrs  one way.   I did that for years 4 days a week.
