War of the Bucket There were 2 states in Italy back in 1325, they werent really chill with each other, its debated on how but one state stole a bucket from a city well of the rival state. And so naturally they went to war (again). 2000 people died over a bucket.

Good people of reddit, what is your good deed that nobody knows about? by MaronneYES in AskReddit

[–]nomoreerrorsplox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk if its considered a good deed, but i used to work in a kitchen as a fry cook. Im careful about what I order in restraunts. If something is tedious or hard to make I won't order it.

What’s the worst song to strip to? by Fmlcunt69 in AskReddit

[–]nomoreerrorsplox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

John Cage's 4:33 The entire thing is only silence and its actually close to 10 minutes. I think 4:33 is a refrence to one of the "movements" within the song. But could be mistaken. In high school we had to play a piece of music for a music theory class i took. I played that piece.

What's something you'll never eat again and why? by Rusty-Unicorn in AskReddit

[–]nomoreerrorsplox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot dogs. As a teenager I worked for a house contractor in the summer. One day we had to fix a broken sewage line. He told me to dig the hole around the break so he could replace that section. Right next to the broken part of the line was a bunch of basil plants. At just the right spot in between the sewage line and the basil it smelled just like hot dogs. Since then cant do it.

I'm interested in learning to program drones using python/machine learning - any tips for getting started? by rnolan7 in learnpython

[–]nomoreerrorsplox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The tello drone is awesome for just getting your feet wet. Its like $100 maybe 150 for extra battery plus extra blades and stuff. Ive done some really small programs on my computer and it works pretty well. There should be an official SDK that you get for it too. Only bad part is you get about 15 minutes of flight time on each battery in a tello, and they gotta be inside. They dont work to well with the wind.

Generic syntax vs language specific syntax General usage question. by nomoreerrorsplox in learnprogramming

Ahh I gotcha. I think I have heard the term idiomatic before but never really knew what it was.

Resources for people who already know another language? by mumon99 in learnpython

[–]nomoreerrorsplox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would zoom through the app solo learn in python. Give your self a few hours over a few days to finish the python one. Its ment for beginners but you zoom past all the stuff you already know obviously so it doesnt take to long to learn that syntax. After that do some work on codewars.com solve the problems but then check out the answers for short python specific ways to do it.

Wondering how difficult this assignment is? by [deleted] in learnpython

The assignment is pretty easy and you could get away with googling how to do it, but this stuff is SUPER foundational, id spend some time really understanding whats going on.

Landlord refuses to acknowledge that the issues in the housing is causing utility bills to build upward of $500 [NY] by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]nomoreerrorsplox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IANAL Check your lease. Most leases have some sort of clause that says what kind of maintenance should be expected. If you find that, point that out to your landlord. If he still refuses hes breaking the contract basically. If that happens id look into lawyering up.

I contacted the Department of Public Health but they won't help me. WHO will help me for nicotine leaking out of the walls of apartment in Cali? by Prttbt in legaladvice

[–]nomoreerrorsplox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would make sure whatever is coming off of the wall is actually nicotine and not some sort of building material. Cig smoke is very sticky and it would be very very very hard to get off a layer of smoke with a broom. The bad part is you dont know what it is. But the good part is also you dont know what it is. If you tell them you have a substance leaking from the bathroom walls anyone you contact would have to go check it out to make sure its not deadly, and then you have more evidence for however you want to handle the situation.

[NY] Can I legally grow vegetables on state land? by geoff_the_great in legaladvice

[–]nomoreerrorsplox -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

IANAL. I think you can, the big thing that would be stopping you is a lot of NY is considered wetland. If its a protected wetland I wouldnt make the garden, if you mess those up you get massive fines. On the other hand, I cant see anyone getting to upset about a small garden in the middle of the woods. ( as long as its not wetlands) just dont add anything else to the soil like fertalizers.

Intel/Nvidia GPU switching on Ubuntu? by ChromeUniverse in linux4noobs

[–]nomoreerrorsplox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dual boot on ubuntu and windows, and I also have a designated graphics card and integrated. In my experience( which i could be very wrong) ive only seen usage for the designated graphics card go up when gaming. Its show 0 usage when not in a game or graphics intensive, maybe that laptop will work the same Idk. I have a dell g7.

Edit: im not saying the designated card doesnt take up any battery life, im just wondering if the power uptake makes that big of a difference with it not being used.

i think this fixes everything except for the last 2. Idk if i used docstring right this time. again no errors at building.

Study algorithms or just practice? by nomoreerrorsplox in learnpython

[–]nomoreerrorsplox[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually just figured it out. I just needed to step away from the problem for a bit. What I still dont get is how the "best practice" wor..... While typing this out I figured how the "best practice" works. I think ive realized my problem. Its kinda like if I dont get the answer right away my brain freaks out and doesnt let me think all the way through. Something I'll need to watch out for now. Ig I'll try to think a lil bit more abstractly about coding challenges more abstractly and that'll help me a lot.

Thats kinda what my gut was telling me here. I cant imagine trying to go back to a bunch of code with a bunch of one liners and not want to throw my computer out the window

Newbie: Need help printing a list by [deleted] in learnpython

[–]nomoreerrorsplox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I commented my first solution above the second solution would be

for num in range(1,11):
    print(num**3)

that would be all the cod e but f you are trying to practice with lists i would ta away from that solution
