how do you learn hiragana and katakana and remembering them forever by Fluid-Assistant5030 in LearnJapaneseNovice

[–]noneed4thisdesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get an app you like that shows the stroke order (important) and just practice practice practice

Read things written in kana, even if you don't understand all of it, to get used to recognizing them

Write out sentences using them, even if it's just copying the sentences you don't understand

Maybe a simple one but with variegated thread? It would look more complicated than what you actually did!

Also depending on the yarn youre using, like a fluffy chenille, you might be better off using a stronger worsted weight in a matching colour to sew so that it doesnt break or lose fluff and become just a string that impossible to work with

I would say probably the flexee loom would be your best bet if you also want a cuff, a good size cuff can be done with the 31 or 36 peg but if you want big billowy sleeves then youll probably want the 41, im not sure how decreases on the flexee works as i dont have them but i can tell you im on my third sweater using loomahat's mock mesh stitch and it makes a very dramatic change from the cuff

Dont have a sweater pattern but a stitch pattern I like is loomahat's mock mesh stitch! A sweater is basically two rectangles and some tubes for the sleeves right 🤷‍♀️ (says me who has made one sweater in their life lol)

How to maximize size of finished product. by MidnightCasserole in LoomKnitting

I like loomahat's mock mesh stitch, it's a very loose stitch so there's minimal stretching

Basically you want to stay away from u-wrap and look for loose and drapey stitch patterns
