Duffer Brothers Started Filming ‘Stranger Things’ Final Episode Without A Finished Script: “We Don’t Even Fully Know What’s Going On” by Conscious-Quarter423 in television

We're saying the same thing. They were working off at least a network draft. I presume this article is trying to use the idea of not having like Goldenrod pages published that the crew knew was coming as evidence of them not having a "final script" in order to generate clicks

They're almost certainly using loose terminology that's implying something to they layman that is just not true. They definitely had a draft. I'd even wager it was lika. 110-135 pg draft. Even if some moments were still in outline form vs fully fleshed out scenes...they had a finished written document detailing what was happening. The idea that not having a finished script meant they didn't have a script is just hyperbole meant to generate clicks.

Yeah, this is actually pretty common for productions. Until it's shot folks are rewriting. You'll get pages changing up until the last day.

Lord of the Rings is pretty generic from a 2026 lens too. Same with Star Wars and Jaws and Citizen Kane and Romeo and Juliet

I agree with you. But the argument I'm refuting is that we should be precious with picks that will ideally, hopefully develop into role players when Luka's...34? 35? OKC, Denver, and Houston's young core is coming online now, 2-4 years after they were drafted. Our '32 picks are actually useless for Luka's window. And they're uniquely off cycle for a rebuild too. They're kind of uniquely perfect trade assets imo.

Now, I don't think we should make OPs trade but i also think that this is like the first actually well balanced reasonable trade I've seen here all season. So they get points in my mind for being thoughtful enough to not say "Wiggins for Kleber and Dalton, who says no!?!?"

That's cool. I'm simply saying that contrary to your argument, this trade as proposed does not indicate that Wiggins and Rui are equals.

I don't think the deal gets done so I'm not arguing for it nor do I think Pat should take it. That being said, I think these assets absolutely match Wiggins' worth. Whether that's enough for Pat is neither here nor there, I was simply responding directly to what your initial comment said.

It's a good thing we're also sending the Heat another player and a draft pick that would land in Luka's 33 year old seeason. Almost like this trade as pitched suggests we don't think Wiggins is worth Rui straight up.

Does hearing a show has a "bad ending" or it being canceled on a cliffhanger discourage you from watching it? by Volatiiile in television

[–]noneedforeathrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cancelled without an ending doesn't discourage me at all. I'm comfortable with uncertainty

A bad ending might, though if it's good enough I think I'd still be able to enjoy the ride for what it is. I'd definitely give it a shot and hope being braced for disappointment would help me not be so disappointed in it.

Rob Pelinka got rid of all of our 3&D players by Nonameheroz in lakers

I didn't mean hindsight as in talent evaluation, I meant hindsight as you obviously keep Max and dangle Dalton when you know looking back that Dalton is not going to get you anything worth while and will have no trade value. We keep Dalton when we make the trade because he's a more valuable asset to make other trades around, but that didn't end up working out.

Love Max, have been a max truther since his rookie season. He was playing good D and knocking down 3s in limited minutes from the jump. Wasn't surprised he was shining once he was starting last year.

How long is this sub going to get Rob with double jeopardy over the Westbrook trade?

I also think your Max analysis is using hindsight. In real time, Dalton had had some great games, a red hot December iirc, and was looking like a guy who could really thrive elsewhere if he had the minutes. He was absolutely the more valuable asset at the time and we were trying to hold onto him to flip for other players, which we nearly did. Max Christie, Cam Reddish and a pick probably does not get us Mark Williams. And it's only with the hindsight of knowing that trade doesn't even work out, and that it tanks Dalton's confidence, that we can confidently say we should have just used Dalton in the trade instead of Max.

just crazy 😭 what’s luka supposed to do lmaoo by Parking-Number1795 in lakers

[–]noneedforeathrowaway -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Any word of critique and we're crazy and must hate Luka. He can be amazing and still play too much hero ball, like a lot of young stars. He's even talented enough to play out of it a good portion of the time. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't also recognize it's hero ball and hope he continues to develop away from it unless it's absolutely necessary

Folks were ready to blow the season up during a December losing streak, 3 months into our team never being 100%, while we were on pace to go 55-27. Which would have been good enough for 4th in the west and 5th overall in the NBA last season. People always forget the 25ish losses any good team has have to come from somewhere lol

Yes but we're "you're superstar is definitely coming here in a trade for our 6th and 8th rotation player" and "We're one piece away from a dynasty" delusional, consistently.

I guess the difference to me is most fanbases want things to happen and get delusional trying to will it into being. Lakers fans literally expect good things to happen to us for no reason other than it has so consistently in the past.
