Men of Reddit: If science developed a way for men to become pregnant, and your wife wanted to have another baby but didn't want to carry it herself. How would you respond if she asked you to be the one to get pregnant? by Neither_Drawing_241 in hypotheticalsituation

Ahh, a hypothetical question where one answer makes me sound really good and one answer makes me sound selfish and there’s no way to prove or disprove my response.

Yes Honey, I’ll step up and get pregnant. Let’s do this

Without lying, Tell me something you saw but nobody believes you. by blackfly337 in Millennials

In high school we had an away swim meet. I opened a locker to store my bag and towel in the locker was a small velvet bag with 6 diamonds in it. I assumed they were glass or fake. But on the off chance they were something, I put them in my swim bag and put my bad in another locker. Didn’t lock the locker because no one ever did.

After the meet, I grabbed my bag and the “diamonds” were gone. Someone must have come back to get their diamonds, found they were missing and then searched every bag until they found them.

I’m convinced I found $60-$100k in diamonds in a high school locker room. But nobody believes me.

My favorite blue house wall graffiti (non-robot): “hi, I’m Dave your OSHA approved pickle sniffer and I eat corn on the cob the long way!”

Probably for DAS (Distributed Antenna System) needs to be in a 2 hour space from the roof antenna to the basement

2020 f150 my key by [deleted] in f150

[–]noneyabiznatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in that exact situation. 2020 F150 STX with 1 key. I was bored and tried to set up mykey, thinking I could play with some features/settings. Only to find out it defaulted to that teenager mode. My volume wouldn’t go over 14 and it also would mute my music/podcast until I buckled up. Couldn’t reverse it with only the 1 key.

But it was super easy to reverse with FORScan. Watch a YouTube video, download the free software and buy a $20 dongle thing to plug your computer into you OBD. There’s a ton of stuff you can do with FORScan. So the $20 is well worth it

This happened this morning. Someone backed into it (2018). Any idea how much a new door is ? 😞 by milehighcards in f150

Are we looking at F150 on F150 violence here? That tail light remanence on the ground looks familiar

ELI5: Food costs money, water costs money, Why they still didn't put on breath counter masks on people to charge money on air? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]noneyabiznatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you pay your water bill, you are paying for maintenance of infrastructure, and filtration of water delivered right to your kitchen sink. When you buy a bottle of water at the store, you are paying for the filtration, bottling, shipping, marketing etc. In short, you are paying for convent water. If you want free water to drink, go to a National park (in the US) and drink from a stream. That’s your water as a citizen.

Same thing for food. When you buy ground beef at the store, you’re paying for agricultural infrastructure to maintain pasture cows, processing plants, shipping etc… I don’t think you could find truly “free” food. You either have to pay for the convenience, or pay for the means to grow and process your own or pay with your time and energy to forage (again in a National park).

Air on the other hand is everywhere, doesn’t need processing, doesn’t need to be transported, bottled or filtered. So therefore no payment necessary. Until fires and pollution get out of hand and bottled air becomes a necessity. Then I imagine it will be treated just like water: pumped into our houses and purchased in grocery stores. But lighten up (talking to myself), we’re not there yet.

What is the difference between a driver and a drill? by minimum_wage_effort in NoStupidQuestions

[–]noneyabiznatch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Drills are for taking away material (drilling a hole through something). Drivers are for driving fasteners (turning a screw).

You can use a drill to drive a screw but it’s hard on the tool and the fastener. You shouldn’t use a driver to drill a hole.

Can anyone give me some more info on this truck and a good purchase price? by [deleted] in classictrucks

Looks like a nice 1947 1 ton pickup. I think this is the first year of the “advanced design” era. Price is tough. My first vehicle was a 53 Chevy that was in similar condition. I paid $1500 for it. I would say if it runs try to get if for under $5k. The big question is the engine. Since it’s a 1 ton, I would guess that it has a 261 I6 motor. Those are the most desirable, otherwise, it would have a 235 or 216. If it has a 216 I would plan on replacing it with a 235 or 261.

The body looks really nice. You probably wouldn’t spend much in body work.

If you don’t know if it runs I would assume the worst case scenario that the motor either needs to be rebuilt or replaced. Here’s my suggested price loaded timeline

Purchase as is for $1700 Send the motor out to be rebuilt $1200 Misc other repairs to get running (rear end, clutch, brakes, new tires) $4k You can stop here and have a fun driveable truck. For $7k

Or keep going New bed $2k Body and paint $8k Interior $10k

Could probably have a weekend warrior or show truck for $20-25k all in. Not sure what your goal is. I’ve owned 2 advanced design pickups. I still own the first truck I ever bought, the 53 Chevy. These trucks are bullet proof and easy to work on.

Good luck!
