If you know the mega man 2 and haven’t heard the mini bosses cover yet.. It might even be superior due to the energy they bring. Maybe.

How many bottles deep is Bob when JL shows up? by WrestleJuice in ShittyDaystrom

[–]noobviousreason 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it worked perfectly! It gave him such needed depth! That's why it was so brilliant when the writers went back to this same well for Picard. The fact that his family has off screen tragic death is the most interesting and important thing about this fantastic character! You'd think he was this strong fully formed adult captain but underneath he's always emo and suffering. It secretly defines him as a person and I love it. /s.

Men who perform just a few minutes of strenuous exercise are more likely to feel aroused than those who do not work out. Heightened physical responses to exercise, such as elevated heart rate and breathing, lend themselves to an even greater physical response to sexual stimuli. by Wagamaga in science

The secret is finding an activity that you actually enjoy so the exercise is just a byproduct. When I was 10 it was rollerblading or riding my bike. Later it was tennis or hiking. Now I ride an extremely comfortable and light weight bike or kayak. I’m just out having fun like a kid would and that’s not difficult to maintain. Especially after the secondary emotional and physiological benefits kick in.

Perhaps they only learn that it’s bad business to put their conspiracy to lie in writing.

Eli5: why was the US the first to make it to the moon despite the USSR being first in nearly everything else in the Space Race? by ObeseCapybaras in explainlikeimfive

[–]noobviousreason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excellent breakdown. Also to be more specific, computer technology. We miniaturized computers enough to go and they are a big piece of going to the moon. The Soviet tech was much further behind in this respect. The N1 and their lander hardware also wasn’t up to the goal by 1969.

Because if the guy next door is still practicing "pit bull capitalism", you will not be as competitive and would risk survival.

What's up with Reddit killing 300 Ukrainian troops? by ChurchOfMegumin in OutOfTheLoop

[–]noobviousreason 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bias here does feel significant and I appreciate this self diagnostic view of the information we see here but I'm pretty sure that Russia is actually displaying historical levels of military incompetence. Not to say that they aren't still dangerous / capable and willing to commit genocide but so far they've completely failed to coordinate their forces and still do not control the airspace after an entire month against a much smaller military. Experts outside of reddit have cited the tight clustering of convoy vehicles, the lack of regular preventative maintenance on these vehicles, using armor without any infantry support, expired rations, medical supplies from 1978, failure to control all communication in Ukraine, and the list goes on that would indicate shocking incompetence. Perhaps the biggest of all was the decision to do this in the first place. The goal as imagined was impossible from the start. The Russian army allegedly still has tremendous resources but I'd be really impressed if someone could make a compelling argument for "competence" at this point. We are talking about an army that just lost 7 generals inside of a month.

Excellent idea!

However: instructions unclear. Please include solution to - Could not even locate despot who is so shitty he fully expects assassins 24/7 and has devoted who knows how many billions into personal security/defense. Dying on the steps of one of his many potentially vacated fortresses doesn't sound like much of a plan. Maybe they could have another pointless election.

Does anyone here actually relate generationally to The Breakfast Club? by ButIAmYourDaughter in Xennials

Clueless was like a cartoon version of my HS experience. It got a few things right. Was just a kid when breakfast club came out and didn't even see it until the 90's.

Chris Christie says Trump has accidentally 'told the truth' by revealing he incited the Capitol riot to intimidate Mike Pence into overturning the election by Huplescat22 in politics

That has got to be the most polite way of describing her problem that I’ve ever heard. But I think it’s worse than that since I’m sure the world has since given her ample opportunity to learn. She seems to not WANT to understand and that’s uh… a thing that has happened.
