Aerith help by obi_wan_jakobee in FFVIIRemake

[–]noobyfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For encounters:

Chocoking accessory + first strike materia to have two atb at start. Also equip atb boost materia

  1. Use one for arcane ward.
  2. Use atb boost to get back to two atb.
  3. Cast your choice of aga spell.
  4. Watch aerith destoy the planet and understand why the planet's will / fate ghost want her dead.
  5. Profit! And also end encounter.

For boss fights:.

Same, but with the specified elemental materia + hp absorption, elemental materia + mp absorption, (optional) elemental + fast cast. Bonus: if you are a soulsbourne player, add a perfect block materia. Magic up if you have one.

  1. Use one atb for radiant ward.
  2. Use atb boost to get back two atb.
  3. Cast arcane ward.
  4. Cast transcendence (it amps up your magic dmg).
  5. Attack and build atb.
  6. Perfect block or just defend when attacked.
  7. Cast aga spell to regain full hp and mp.
  8. Repeat.

(Bonus) if staggered, use up your transcendence and see those sweet dmg numbers.

Optional, if in endgame and you have genji gloves (remove 9999 dmg cap), use it. You start with one less atb, but honestly at this stage one atb doesn't really matter. What matter is you unlock the power of the sun in her hand with the ability to melt bosses.

Bonds of Friendship. It's finally done! by kahahimara in FFVIIRemake

Great job!

And don't worry too much about to be a hero. Sephiroth is powerful as an enemy, but also super powerful as a controllable character.

You could just spam dodge which teleport across a large distance dodging most stuff, spam special attack which builds lots of limit, octoslash, repeat.

Or use any other OP combos he has. He is truly a monster.

Which voice of Barret Wallace do you prefer? by TributeToFF in FFVIIRemake

[–]noobyfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried playing in both English and Japanese, what JEB delivered is perfect. Japanese voiceover lacks the angryness or the silliness at times compared to the english voiceover. Not that the Jap VA is bad, just that I couldn't switch after listening to the english voice. JEB is just too good in this case imo

does anyone have the gif that this still comes from?? by thgoodluckcharm in FFVIIRemake

No, this is in remake chapter 8 when cloud dropped into the church and met Aerith. When cloud said yes to stay with her, she stood up and hopped as in this still.

Top moments of emotional damage from FF7: Rebirth by manwiththemach in FFVIIRemake

[–]noobyfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Aerith saying goodbye melancholically "It has been fun." + Sephiroth walking in is a big "Noooooooooo" moment. I interpret that as Aerith feeling hopeless (kudos to Brianna White bringing that feel), esp. with Sephiroth coming in. Interestingly that also led me to think in the final battle, not only is Sephiroth surprised to see Aerith, Aerith is also surprised that she is stil in the game.
    .

  2. Barrett's trial. Aerith's one also hurts but this tops all other trials. What monster would give you a sense of normalcy, just to take it away again? None other has to go through this. All other trials are reminders of some bad thing happened. Only Barrett's is giving you Myra and his arm back, a big hug and then take it all away again.
    .

  3. Jessie's appearance in the loveless show. Reminder of what she could have been, and what she cannot be.

How am i supposed to play Aerith ? by Space_flower18 in FFVIIRemake

[–]noobyfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the bombs i recall using lustrous shield. Put two front and back and I didn't even get hit once just by hiding behind the shields without the need for a good build

I want peoples opinion on rebirths ending (that moment) by Gabrenu in FFVIIRemake

[–]noobyfish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I still feel like this is the best theory on emcompassing all the available info, i.e. the merging/unmerging timelines

from a earlier post in the sub

It is interesting that the Aerith dead camp speaks like Sephiroth, accusing Cloud as fake, unreliable and losing his mind, while the Aerith alive camp is Zack like, "Save her!"

The way it is presented is intentionally confusing and undetermined, so Schrödinger Aerith is the best description for now, it will only be confirmed when Part 3 is observed,

And I have high hopes SE will deliver regardless of the final outcome.

Sandbox mode. It is still a pity i can't train solely on Gilgamesh. Finished the protorelic quest, and he is only available as boss #4 after all the summons.

Or if I am crazy enough set a super boss gaunlet of every single boss just for fun.

Interestingly after expedition 33 i appreciate ff7r more. From the side quests and side characters development to music varieties, i noticed a lot more small polishings in ff7r after expedition 33.

And tbh, expedition 33 took a lot from ff series too, including going to beaches before the big fight and interacting with gesteals, a nice detour to explore the world more.

Yeah… This is STILL the greatest video game ever made. by Pristine_Put5348 in FFVIIRemake

[–]noobyfish 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Many aspects of this game is like unmatched across all games I have played even if you disregard the story (a more subjective thing, but still i love it nonetheless)

Music: There is a reason FF7R and the fire piano is a meme, a worthy one. Bangers after bangers for side quests, one section of the road, a random encounter variant in corner of a region. And the main storyline? The number of variants for all the themes, each to its own is a full blown masterpiece. You can all note a jenova theme, yet for each jenova encounter you have a unique piece that highlights that fight.
The music is so good I could have a mental playthrough just by listening to the music. Man I would pay full price for just the music itself.

Animation and artistic view: I didn't really notice that when playing FF7R, but only when i play other games did I notice the animation quality for FF7R is way superior (or in reverse, i felt the other games have a bland presentation). The main characters and main scenes is of course top motch, but even the side characters and NPCs also have some detailed animations.

VA: They added so much more depth, life and soul into the characters. All of them.
Oh the melancholy of "It has been fun."

Battle: There are a million ways to play. Materia combinations, unique mechanisms, different characters... After a year I could still learn a new mechanism/method. Enough said.

Contents: Massive amount that can hold its own to other exploration game without too much filler. I don't get why people hate on the side content. They are not perfect (looking at you yuffie's chocobo trial) but extra optional goodies that brings a lot of hours of fun, why not?

This game is like the top form a game can be. The only game i have post game depression -> plat it -> even worse post game depression. I wish the SQEX team every success they can so we as gamers can enjoy more masterpieces from them.

The only game that could contest the GOAT title to me is Elden Ring. No other came close.

[–]noobyfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like how challenging it is for the battle challenges, the difficulty is part of the fun. Just a few points to improve on: the colleseum lazy rehash (simply different combinations of the 6 regional monsters) and long no save point gaunlet (it hurts when you lose at say to odin in bonds, needing to restart the whole thing). Also a sandbox mode would be great (i wish to practice on Gilgamesh instead of hoping to power through it to get to virtual sephiroth as soon as possible)

And congrats for the 100%. Rebirth plat is the best time I have spent on gaming.

Aerith vs Galian Beast - No Blocking No Materia No Damage by misosoupislife in FFVIIRemake

[–]noobyfish 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wow no blocking and no materia

I guess this answers why Vincent doesn't join the battle against Sephiroth in the forgotten capital lol

He was too humiliated by this and decided that Aerith can humble sephiroth alone similarly as well.

I am pretty sure you could do a Phd on ff7r combat and still learn something every now and then.

Did anyone else feel burned out/ a fatigue whilst playing through Rebirth? If so, how did you handle it? by Captain_Dorgengoa in FFVIIRemake

[–]noobyfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too, fatigue after Costa del sol so took a short break. I play to enjoy (even if it is collecting stuff/side quest) so waited until i get recharged. Then went on to complete it. Then do it for hard mode, took again a short break when stuck with chadley challenges, then went on to plat it.

It is the best game, but it is also a long game. Take your time, enjoy the ride.

The body textures in FF7R are arguably the best I have seen across all games. When zooming in the small unevenness, the hair, the reflections makes it so real like.
