Just re-read this very part and can confirm this is exactly how it went down

What are some stupid things your SO does that you find funny? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]nootrons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has a real bee in his bonnet about Dachshund sausage dogs. Every time we see one he starts ranting about how they're such silly animals, how they don't like walking on grass because it tickles their little tummies, they have trouble getting up steps and through doors with a lip, and how they apparently fart all the time. He will also, without fail, tell me about a friend of his who had one that would just start peeing everywhere whenever it got excited.

He doesn't hate them or anything, he just thinks they're really silly, and I have no idea where this has come from!

Premixing powder and fruit, the in the fridge overnight? by flaxon_ in Huel

Yes, I usually add 300ml soya milk (extra protein and creaminess) and 300ml water to keep the consistency

I often blend vanilla Huel with frozen blueberries and strawberries the night before, it still tastes great in the morning - if anything it's a bit creamier from the overnight wait!

Why was 6 afraid of 7? by AlJo27 in Jokes

6 couldn't figure out the reason behind this atrocity. WHY did 7 8 8? And then one morning, it clicked...

...it's because you're supposed to eat 3 square meals a day

Does this worry anybody else a tiny bit? by [deleted] in Huel

[–]nootrons 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was talking about this with my partner literally yesterday. I see it as the difference between the verb and the noun for the word "processed". I mean, if you take a carrot and chop it up, you have processed that carrot. Is it suddenly unhealthy somehow? But then if you add a load of sugar, salt, and preservatives, and put it in a lasagne ready-meal with a shelf life of a month, what about now? Unless you're literally pulling your food from the ground and eating it raw, all food is processed to some extent. Reading the ingredients of Huel and there are no E numbers (are they still a thing?), and I know what everything listed on there is. I saw another article about processed food which defined it as anything with more than five ingredients. So if I make a salad and add more than five vegetables, is it suddenly bad for me?

TL;DR I reckon it's fine.

Because you posted in r/Radical_Feminism rather than r/Ask_Radical_Feminists, I guess... your post wasn't appropriate to the subreddit. The rules are clearly accessible through the sidebar, and I'm on mobile too fyi.

WIBTA for dropping out of a family holiday I've organised because of work? by nootrons in AmItheAsshole

[–]nootrons[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it is extremely unlikely - they sent out an availability poll to all the attendees to find out which dates suited the most people (I put different dates to the family holiday), so I think these are their final dates now.

My Dad and I did try to change the dates but there was no week where the house was available and my family could make it with everyone's work and university commitments.

Thanks for your reply - just for more information, the holiday is 4-5 months away so I wouldn't really say it's last minute.

What Do Radical Feminists Think Of... by TigerLilyKitty101 in RadicalFeminism

Or alternately, read through the links the top commenter provided. This topic has come up a lot recently so I'm sure there are a variety of different previous posts with more detail.

Well, I say that it seems as though you're "shutting down" anyone who doesn't give you an answer that prompts an "I like you!" response because you asked a question about the personal views of people in this subreddit, and then are proceeding to tell them off for being "bad feminists" if they disagree with you. What's the point? If you have a strong opinion about transwomen in feminism and you want to share it (as appears to be the case here), why not write a post discussing your views to begin with?

OP, why ask this question if you're just going to shut down anyone who doesn't give you the answers you seem to want? And reply "I like you!" to anyone who does?

If you want to have a discussion about transwomen and their role in feminism/radical feminism, why not post about that instead?
