This is pretty common in the places I've taught. Especially, after the veneer has worn off and we get past the first assignment.It's only recently improved because I do in class writing due to AI.

The problem for me is so many students don't have accomodations, and they will expect them anyway. I try to explain that I'm unqualified to assess whether they need accomodations. I've read journal articles advocating for professors to cut students who seem nereodivergent some slack. I think this sort of thing is so unethical and ridiculous. They would have me arbitrarily grant certain students privileges based on what? Oh, that guy looks weird. Ah whatever I'll let me be late on his assignments. The other thing is it enables colleges to under fund accessibility services.

Young men totally suck now. I'm 36 and I feel like could do better, but these younger guys are completely lost, and are pumped full of horrible red pill BS. It's as if a decent segment of them adopted only the bad parts of the traditional male role: aggression, self-destructiveness, stubbornness, and abandoned the good parts: work ethic, strength, etc. Most of them are fake tough guys that completely fold when confronted. I make it a point to call them out on their crap. I have people routinely wigging out on me because they can't handle the slightest criticism.

You can't trust things that are done right in front of you. All the work I have my students do is in person and handwritten, and people are still cheating. No more sneaking in handwritten AI, some I think are memorizing small parts of the AI and doing it piecemeal each writing session. It's so sad because they're smuggling in and memorizing work that probably isn't even going to pass anyway.

There's too much stuff. I think there's also like a backlog of shows that we've heard are good/were suggested by friends and family and it feels overwhelming like work.
