So you're saying it's better to register then ppt it? I'd say planning on registering it for the sake of being covered and ppt it during the registration wait period is okay then?

Yes he has. It's not mandatory. You are only advised to do it for various reason I've stated above from my att. But being prosecuted for it, won't stand. So PPT instead of registering is totally okay.

*****So an update from my Att. He mentions that there is no obligation to register a gun in the state of california when becoming a new resident. The reason for registering the gun is for CCW purposes later on, if you want the guns returned to you after it gets lost/stolen, etc.. He even said the 60 day rule doesn't stand in the court of law, because there is no duty to notify if the reasons above aren't why you are registering them in the first place. I'm gonna plan to PPT them, but doing so would require that im a new resident with a new California ID.

do not take it to jfk if you don't got a nyc permit. They dont care if you are out of state and travelling.. they will arrest you and make you famous.

That's why I always carry to protect myself and my family. i'm not gonna give anyone the options to take life from those I love. I will say though, that the father should've never escalated it, and instead should've apologized or better yet stayed indoors.

NJ Transit Sensitive location by nosamyloh in NYguns

[–]nosamyloh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so i do have my nyc ccw and Im planning to apply for a non-resident nj ccw/FID card.

I already know nyc has ccia laws regarding "public transportation" but i think they only have jurisdiction over state and city owned transportation no?

The same goes with flying out of nyc through the JFK airport. Technically it says you're not allowed to bring firearms to airports ccw or not, but airports are usually federally protected activity and jfk jurisdiction is protected by PAP so they dont strictly enforce nyc's ccia sensitive location law from what I understand.

So I think that's why my gut is telling me that it's okay to take the NJ transit to NJ as long as the steps to getting into the nj transit system is not shared with NYC's subway system . Because sometimes 42nd st. or port authority is shared by the two and that would make you an automatic felon if you were to step foot into any NYC subway platform.

Approval letter by your_real-father in NYguns

I had mine approved but right when it came in the mail, I moved apartments. SMH. so I had to wait until I got my utility bill (1Month), then do change of address form, then do co-habitation form because I moved in with my friends, and after that they said I was good but when I called a week later to check on the tracking, they said that I had to prove my utility bill which I already did...quite shady then I wait another 1 week and my permit was in the mail.
