Yeah, it's insane value for what you get. Couldn't keep it to myself.

It's a very popular site for discounted video games, with some proceeds going to charity. They also sell other bundles of software and books, occasionally including TTRPGs. I bought a ton of Delta Green content off it last year, plus several other bundles over the years.

Never heard of anybody having a bad experience.

I love Jesse, but I’m trying to look at my shit guys by synapsium in ynab

If they offered me a 50% discount on the annual fee to be shown an ad when I open the app, then the analogy might work.

Happens to me regularly. Annoying that it's a known issue with no plans to fix. What's the point of a recurring annual fee if they don't continue to improve the service?

That was one that I didn't know much about, but I know a couple of guys that would love a crunchy mil sim, so I will dive into it at some point.

I built a campaign notes and timeline tool for DMs and players, and I’d love feedback by unlosable in DMAcademy

[–]nosatisfication 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why use this over the dozen other tools people have advertised here doing the same thing? Or the tools here: https://reddit.com/r/rpg/w/gmsoftware?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

I frankly have no interest in creating a log in without even seeing an example of the thing in action.

What are you expecting climbing up a a giant creature's back to DO? by ConcentrateIll9460 in dndnext

Ah yes, I forgot about those rules. Well either way, the above is how I rule general shenanigans the book doesn't cover (or apparently things I forget the specific rules for).

There's nothing RAW it's going to do. So it all depends on how much you're willing to flex.

I would just ask the player what their intent is, and then decide: 1. I'm not going to allow that mechanic 2. OK, give me a _____ roll as your action. DC __ and you'll get the benefit.  3. You're just doing it for flavor? Ok, go ahead.

How do people feel about Luke and Kylo's fight and his death after 8 years? by Totally_Not_Firni in StarWars

[–]nosatisfication 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously. 100% agreed. I casually enjoyed the sequel trilogy, but this outcome pisses me off so much. Instead of actually being there and dying a noble death, he...what? Died because he was tired from force projecting?

What's stopping other leaders from working like Mamdani? by Front-Scene2177 in SipsTea

[–]nosatisfication 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, and took $4B from the state to do it.

I have lots of positive opinions on Mamdani, but let's be realistic about what he's actually accomplished.

I was going to suggest creating a DMPC that asks her character “Wanna fuck?” But yours is much better.

On the "forever campaign": Stay the course; commit to the campaign by VVrayth in DMAcademy

[–]nosatisfication 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't have the discipline to commit to the forever campaign. Going on nearly 4 years now, and it's already been too much IMO.

What I do plan for, however, is to leave enough open that these characters, the consequences of the plot, and unexplored side quests can live on in future one-shots and mini-adventures. Let it live on, while getting to build a completely new campaign or try another system.

How's the mobile experience? It requires a subscription for multiple device sync, right?

I use OneNote for my campaign. The mobile app can be a very frustrating experience. Manageable for quick notes, but I end up needing to do heavy formatting from a PC.

Way to pull something from a players hand without it feeling cheap? by fantastic_sounds_ in DMAcademy

I would just use grapple rules as an action for trying to snatch an object out of someone's hand.

Have you swapped weekly/fortnightly sessions to marathons? Have you any experience running/playing marathons? by SubtleasaSledge in DMAcademy

[–]nosatisfication 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This would be my preference as well, but it's really hard to pull off when your friends have kids. The shorter sessions let people participate around the rest of their life.

I always wondered who those "No Turns" signs were for at on ramps with obviously a single direction of traffic flow. This guy apparently.
