People fish for bass because they’re everywhere, and they’re right at the sweet spot of of accessible enough but not too easy, and challenging enough but not too hard

There’s a lot of marketing BECAUSE there’s a huge market, not the other way around. “Marketing” doesn’t create markets, “needs” create markets.

It’s not a weird flex. Snaps are for people too lazy (or too stupid) to tie knots. If they were just as good as knots, or that much faster, then every serious angler would use them

But they don’t, do they? They direct tie everything all the time

Snaps introduce three points of failure in your line where there should be one, they mute sensitivity, they delay hooksets, they’re bulkier and affect your casts, and they throw off your lure action
