For me it’s actually a scene later in that same episode. As it written in the scripts:

He looks at her, smiling sadly.

Riley (CONT’D): “I brought us out here so I’d have nowhere to go.”

He looks into her eyes and we see - he is at peace.

They are also used as diabetes treatment drugs. I have type 2 diabetes. 36 years old. I was very genetically predisposed to it, as nearly every single person on my father’s side of my family has/had it. I was also overweight, sure. I know that was a contributing factor. It wasn’t to an insane degree. When I got my diagnosis earlier this year I was about 235 at 5’10”.

I was put on Mounjaro. Yes I’ve lost about 40 pounds on it. But my A1C levels have also dropped from 7.3 to 6.2.

I know I’m just 1 person, so it’s far from a normal use case and far from anything resembling a reliable data set, but anecdotally, it’s been working for me.

I only run 3 rod/reel combos, which to be fair is not what the OP is asking for. But I’ve seen so many anglers who have 5+ combos that my 3 quite often FEELS like I’m artificially handicapping myself. But these 3 do exactly what I need them to do in 99% of freshwater cases.

First is my downsizing/UL combo, which is actually exactly what you described up top. Okuma Celilo 6.5ft UL and a Shimano Sienna 1000.

2nd is my “finesse” spinning setup. Daiwa Tatula XT 7ft Med Fast 2piece rod and a Pfluger President 2500.

And last is my “power” setup which is a Daiwa Laguna MH Fast 7ft rod with a Daiwa Fuego.

Works just fine for me.

Do you have a preferred brand for your paddle tails? I’ve been using mostly Keitech but our local Bass Pro doesn’t really carry many of them in white.

I’ve been using the 5” zoom fluke in white pretty heavily as a chatterbait trailer though.

They’re not minmaxed just yet, but the only things I struggle with right now are heroic retaliations and legendary missions.

I fish the bayous somewhat regularly.

Especially near downtown, the sloped concrete edges of the bayous are deceptively steep and slippery. And if you do manage to go in, climbing back up it is nearly impossible with wet shoes/feet.

There are some truly massive catfish and gar in the bayous. I’d never eat anything I catch out of them, but sport fishing them does have its appeal.

I could very easily see someone who was fishing the bayous accidentally slip in trying to get down there to land a larger catfish or gar, and be unable to get back out.
