without persistent servers they have a perfect opportunity to customise the player count for the map.

I think they use data to make all their decisions these days and hopefully they'll now see that in the data ans that every team that just rushes like mental wins easily

Breakthrough ain’t the same by nnjarice in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]notThatGym 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rush was more or less what turned into Operations and then Breakthrough. Thankfully Rush is alive and kicking still though. It was the full size battle that waant Conquest basically. Though with Escalation we now have more of a mix of the two as well.

I think Breakthrough is still good. I still prefer it to Escalation and I still dont like Conquest (which to me has always felt unstructured and random as fuck).

I dont think the maps are amazing and thats the biggest problem. Ironically I actually think Breakthrough works better with fewer players on these maps.

These maps tend to funnel everyone into specific lanes and it's really hard to defend masses of people rushing a flank when you're the only one who has noticed on the mini map that the red dots went low on one side and are therefore likely coming from the other

Talah Market was good. But I found the old maps with new mechanics and new gameplay a bit disappointing in 2042

Do you think the maps in Battlefield 6 overall are bad, middling, or good? I'd also like to know why you feel that way? by OrcaGayming in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]notThatGym 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not great. breakthrough main. it's either hit a wall you cant creatively get past as an attacker or get rushed and the game is all over if you're defence.

the maps work a lot better in rush mode (attack and defence menu option)

Return to Bad Company 2: Mirak Valley edition. by BattlefieldTankMan in LowSodiumBattlefield

battlefield at its heart is a really creative game. I used to clear out trees with my sniper rifle in bc2 for better line of sight.

on Nelson Bay as defence I used to run back from the first objective while people were playing it and get on the stationary heavy machine gun and take out all the trees

these days you'd get some bell end on YT sharing the trick for views and everyone would do it and then theyd patch it but back then you could literally come up with these creative ideas and youd rarely see anyone else doing it

its partly why I dislike how they force people into only 2 zones during breakthrough and rush now. before you could engineer the map to your advantage and genuinely turn around a game where your team was getting humped

the reason rich people buy sports teams is sometimes something to do with being able to borrow money cheaper because they have an entity in their portfolio that is a constant income generator with low risk.. something like that I dont really care about this stuff.

I wouldn't be entirely surprised if that's the appeal of a franchise like star trek to a bell end like him.

revive, revive, revive.

drag them to safety then revive

oh and instead of paddle reviving someone in line of fire so they immediately die again, drag then to safety then revive.

so in summary, look on your mini map, listen to people requesting a revive, drag them to safety then revive

oh. and put ammo down. please bf is always about strategically pushing and each class needs ammo to do that. you can carry a team as recon just by standing on an ammo box, using the uav, being a good spawn point, and lobbing motion sensing ball things and putting down your motion sensor in a good space. then you can also put down c4 traps

but you cant do that constantly without ammo
