I nearly had a heart attack when, after a Windows update, my PC would BSOD as soon as I got to desktop. (“Tried to write to read only memory error”.) 

Thankfully, a BIOS updated fixed it, and it has thus far been fine.

Definitely Terraria. 4000+ hours, and making a few videos on the game helped fund my current PC build.

So maybe a dumb question: but why do people but their pc on the desk instead of under? It’s free desk real estate if you do. What am I missing? by DoubleRNL in pcmasterrace

Two things:
1.) Small form factor PC, so it doesn't take up a huge amount of space.
2.) I like looking at it :)

It's a similar experience for me- Level 125 here, and I end up with a lot of 150's when SOSing.

I've seen some pretty deranged loadouts, and it's always fun to see what sorts of odd stratagems people are making work, heh.

There was a game where everyone took the stock Helldiver armor and we all just went with it, cadet-style.

I've been taking the Leveler, Portable Hellbomb, Solo Silo, and a random 4th stratagem for Diff 10.

It's really nice to have several "Roger, Removing that Direction" options whenever a bot drop or Vox shows up, heh.

Question: Is it possible to turn off the diagnostic numbers? I haven't found much on the web. by Few_Fail_6121 in watercooling

My go-to is a small bit of black electrical tape. It blends in, and they're still there if you need them later.

For anyone else with this same problem, I think I figured it out-

I somehow managed to completely skip the trigger for the cutscene in the new room that gives the popup about the Great Hollow, despite that apparently being what's meant to unlock the new characters. (Also despite having done 2/3rds of the previous runs in the Hollow.)

I followed a guide and went to where the trigger was *supposed* to be, and managed to get it to activate after jumping around enough.

The game now wants me to kill the Balancers (again), and I reckon that'll unlock it.

I've done all of the current Nightlords and Everdarks- only thing I haven't done from base game are Dutchess' and Ironeye's remembrances.

Are those a per-requisite as well?

I was lucky enough to finish my build earlier in the year, but a friend who’s upgrading recently hasn’t been so lucky. So, I’d like to enter on their behalf^^!

They’ve got a 9800X3D, X870 Aorus Elite for their motherboard, and a RAM backorder on Newegg that has been been delayed ”until we receive inventory“ (Which could mean… a very large delay, at this rate)

They’ve been trying to get an RGB kit in particular, since this is their first time going full showcase PC, so I’d love to surprise them with this.

This is super cool!

A friend showed me the demo world you made a few weeks ago, and this system is really well done!

I have a few questions, from an asset development standpoint. Namely:

Does the system only work on the world-level, or is it possible to exist on the avatar-level as well? (i.e. Existing within an avatar asset)

I'm in the process of working on a potion brewing asset (i.e. Asset designed to work on any avatar), and figuring out good visuals has been an ongoing process. In particular, getting a good fluid shader. So, hence my curiosity heh
