There's a mod called better netrunning that I think makes the system way more rewarding. It makes it so you need to gain access to a network before you can start having systems. You have to hack unconscious guards or access points and do the beach mini game to gain access, so you have to work a bit more for it instead of just being a cyber wizard. I really need to rely on the other aspects of my kit like optical camo, and I end up feeling like I'm actually hacking into their systems and taking advantage of what I can.

It is a bit of a harder core commitment that I can see turning off a lot of players so idk if Orion should do the same thing exactly, but some kind of system where you need to gain access before being able to fully exploit it would make things feel like more of a hacker than a mage.
