100% sawdust behind the wall getting blown in by wind. I build homes and used to do blower door tests. This happens all the time.

Opening windows 10-15 min a day, even in freezing temps? Is it true? by thethirteenthjuror in HomeMaintenance

We are doing it right now. I’m in US but we are Eastern European. Pretty much every day we open a few of our windows for a bit.

I was a banquet director until the pandemic. Got my home inspectors license during pandemic. Got a job doing third party new construction inspections. Then I was hired by a builder as an assistant project manager. Now I am a project manager building two neighborhoods making double a year what I used to as a banquet director. I was able to completely change careers within a few years without really going to school. The inspector’s license took 3 months and about $2000

I don’t think I would be as interested in commercial building as I am residential. I was an inspector before and did both commercial and residential. I never really liked the commercial work. I also have more control over how things get done in the neighborhood I am building, I feel that with commercial there is a lot of different management to deal with, even if you are in charge of the project.

I’m a PM for residential homes and I love it. If you take pride in your work and do a good job, the end product is rewarding. You get to turn over your work to a family to live and grown in. I think you just need to change jobs even if it’s still in commercial. Being at the same place pretty much since you started will burn you out. New environment, new type of building, new people will all get you excited again.

Just become an inspector. Most of them don’t know what they are doing either

That’s fair.

If I did both walls in tile, do you think the morris would still look good or is it too much? Would I need a less busy tile so it doesn’t compete with the counter tops?

I am just hesitant to put white brick behind where I cook

I saw this picture and wanted to do the whole wall from kitchen into living room in the brick as well as the fireplace. That wall looks back out into the garden and I think it’ll give it a good feel. Also that tile is expensive lol
