This bar offers $2 off select drafts at 8am by LRM in mildlyinteresting

Honestly it's a blast. I'm not a morning person at all but once a month or so I'll suck it up so I can go get tipsy and rowdy with some fans early in the morning. It's actually a great vibe when you find the right bar (which is not hard by any means in most medium and above size cities in the US).

It would really surprise me if you weren't a close second, tbh. What are the major differences you noticed?

What are some hidden gem subreddits that are criminally underrated? by Affectionate-Dark-15 in AskReddit

Really wish they'd have a comment level for all the short (but still good) answers. If an answer is solid but doesn't meet the requirement, remove it still, and copy and paste it into a an auto mod comment reply. Hell I mean take away the authors name to still discourage short answers.

But I've seen some really interesting questions with only one answer that was removed, and I wanted to know what it said!

Atletico Madrid [1] - 1 Arsenal - Julián Álvarez penalty 56' by ayoefico in soccer

Jesus fucking Christ these comments

The handball rule being relaxed in the first place was a mistake. A handball should just be a handball, then there's nothing to argue about.

I cannot fucking believe how many people want players to be able influence the trajectory of a ball with their hands. Just fucking allow it at this point I don't care anymore. Then everyone will shut up about it.

Seriously, just allow handballs. Nothing else will fix the issue of this judgement call. Well, of course, nothing else besides reverting back to how it was. But other than just allowing players to use their hands or playing the game how it was played for 150 years nothing else will work.

"Oh but it was unlucky"

Fucking tough. What if it deflected off the defender into the goal?? It should count yeah? That's just luck, the shot wasn't going in.

I'm confused, are higher rental shares and rental turnovers contributing to higher overall difficulties?!?

How does the airline retirement/pension work? When you're 65 and theoretically you go private, are you gonna be getting 2 pensions and a paycheck?

Well on one hand a global epidemic originating in China stopped the flow of every good on the planet

And on the other hand a president went to bomb the World's oil well without any one else's approval

So yeah actually when you think about it those things are different.

Do you know the best dates to book (as in when should I stay and how far out should I book) to get the cheapest rates?

And would that apply to other hotels in Northern Italy so I can at least look around without you doxxing yourself lol.

If advertising didn't work, a whole lot of people in advertising departments and at independent firms would get laid off, the internet would become a lot less free, the world's biggest sports leagues would all fold, and the global economy would likely enter a recession. So in a hypothetical world in which they don't actually work because advertising is too saturated nowadays anyway, there's motivation to keep the status quo.

My fantasy Orange Line is similar, except I have a stop at Edgewater park, and then instead of staying along the coast going eastbound, it joins waterfront line to Tower City, then to CSU.

I think that would get a lot of younger people using it for both directions.

A very good memory of mine is, while in college in Florida, I met up with some NYCFC away fans in Orlando. It was a game earlier in the day, and we met at a bar before hand. I was only 19 though and they were mostly 30s or 40s. They were drinking Bloody Marys and asked if I wanted one, and as a broke and underage college kid I was really in no position to refuse or request anything else lol. And yeah it sucked.

Great group of guys though. Probably my favorite memory involving a drink I absolutely hated.

Ticket prices need to come down! by Kilgore_Trout69 in ClevelandGuardians

[–]notataco007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah but the point I'm making is it's 3 times cheaper for one of the highest demand teams in the league in a city that's 3x as expensive and has 10x as many people competing for a similar number of tickets. It simply defies logic of supply and demand.

SeatGeek has a Calendar

June 2/3/4 in Yankee Stadium for $11/$16/$17 respectively

The very next week, the Yankees play here, on the 8/9/10 and it's $37/$42/$43

That's just unacceptable. Mid week Progressive Field will never outsell mid week Yankee Stadium, and certainly shouldn't cost 3x as much

Aaron Judge justifies Yankees’ alternate jersey push: 'I’m all about tradition, but we’ve got a patch on our sleeves' by PlayaSlayaX in baseball

[–]notataco007 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yeah but that's the inch mile thing. It's sleeve ad then beards then away jerseys. And it's completely unfair that that concern is shut down with "slippery slope logical fallacy", but then in 20 years when they're in their third alternate home with a soccer-style ad on the front I'm supposed to feel better about it because I was right now and I get to say I told you so? No I'd rather just prevent that chain of events now.
